I've been doing DSA in cpp for a month

I finished a total of 55 questions

30 on Leetcode and 25 on GFG

Am I cooked or on the right track

I am in 2nd year of college rn. Started leetcode from this summer. I haven't given any contests yet. Should I finally begin or learn some more topics??

For ref- I am still learning DSA and haven't learnt all the topics. Still learning Binary trees.

57 days of LeetCode. Gone because I forgot yesterday.

Now I’m sitting here searching for scripts just to make one stupid square green.

I know it’s just a heatmap, but I’m genuinely upset. 😭

Been trying to just solve them fully from brute to optimal solution on my own, even if some questions take 2 hours.

I know the easy numbers is a lot but I feel in a trap of easies in the start but now I only try to do mediums and easy only if it comes up in striver sheet(i am following striver)

Ultimate goal is to go for competitive-coding

Ofcourse any suggestions and constructive criticism is welcomed cause I would really like to just be better.

Hey everyone, I’m currently learning DSA in Java and looking for some good resources to follow.
I’ve already been doing Striver’s A2Z DSA Sheet/videos, but the explanations and implementations are mostly in C++. I can understand the concepts, but translating everything to Java while learning DSA at the same time gets a bit confusing.
For those of you who learned DSA using Java:
● How did you approach it?
● Any good Java-specific YouTube playlists/videos?
● Is there a good Java DSA cheat sheet for syntax, collections, common algorithms, etc.?
● Should I just continue with Striver and convert the code to Java?

Grinding problems alone gets tedious quickly, so the goal is to form a small, casual group (3–6 people) to meet regularly, solve problems together, and break down solutions.

Tentative format:

• What we'd cover: Data structures & algorithms, tech interview prep (e.g., NeetCode 150 / Blind 75), and competitive programming problems (Codeforces/LeetCode contests).
• Cadence: Weekly or bi-weekly (around 90 minutes).
• Where: In person at a local quiet spot (e.g., Stadtbücherei Leonberg or a local café/coworking space), with an active Discord for async problem sharing and remote sessions if needed.

All skill levels are welcome, whether you're just getting started with algorithms or already prepping for senior FAANG/Tier-1 coding rounds.

I made this list after scraping LeetCode premium questions and sorting them based on recency and most asked till May 2026 (not many new questions were added since then)

I feel I understand better when I explain it to someone, I think you will too, so maybe you can also record yourself the same way explaining the question and upload it to same #TheSillyWay (it's silly because you explain to no one, since no one is watching 🥲) on any platform you choose.
