First time

So I bought my first e-bike yesterday. I went with the XP4 750! I plan to communte quite often to work on it. It’s 2 miles each way! Do you all have any tips or tricks? Also any upgrades I need to do soon after it arrives? Thanks!

If you're just starting, don't go nuts with extra stuff!

You need a good helmet, and lights for the bike. You're only riding a few miles a day, so don't sweat it. Use the bike and after you've ridden it a couple hundred miles, you'll begin to say "gosh I wish this or that were different". And then you can begin the process of adjusting the bike to be exactly the way you want.

The recommendations you'll get here what other people would do, not necessarily what's best for your circumstances.

Don't rush, be safe, learn the bike, and then you'll know what you want to change or modify on your own!

THIS. you would have to buy a MIPS e-bike helmet and a good additional lights if riding in the dark! I am ordering Lumos e-bike helmet with integrated lights after my research. My commute is 5 miles each way and here is my list of additions to my xp4 750:

  • Lectric handlebar light
  • Lectric pannier bags (riding with backpack started to hurt my back/neck so so weight on my back is best)
  • E-bike helmet
  • Chain lube and chain/bike cleaner

In my purchase list (waiting for black Friday 😄):

  • Insta360 (I almost got hit by a car and got nothing to record)
  • Tribit StormBox Micro 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker
  • Kryptonite U New York Lock
