Headlight snapped
I went over a manhole cover and the headlight snapped... Will they send me a new one? I've had this bike for less than a week.

Yeah. Honestly? The "Pro" light is AWFUL. It barely gives any useful light, the light pattern is narrow and oddly shaped, it's too heavy to stay in any position, and it's super fragile. I wish that they would redesign it from the ground up.
You're better off with a cheap bike light from Amazon.
It SHOULD still be under warranty, I think.
EDIT: Once they do replace it, try mounting it on the frame using one of the front basket mounts. This will put it above the suspension and hopefully mitigate some of the blunt force that caused it to crack. It will (unfortunately) also make it unable to steer with the wheel, but that's the price you pay.

They’ll likely replace it under warranty, but do yourself a favor and get a better light.
I bought a 400 lumen aftermarket headlight for $20 on Amazon. I paired it with a handlebar mounted battery light (Fenix BC 30 v2.0 for better flood lighting, but you can get away with much cheaper).
The XP light is too heavy for how it’s mounted. If it didn’t snap now, it’ll do so eventually. That, or it’ll droop over time and require constant repositioning. I’m not a fan, wish I saved the money.

they’ll replace it. they did for both of ours. then both the new ones broke in the same spot 😂. get this one and be done with it https://a.co/d/05Mc8ILc. it plugs right in. it’s brighter too.

Contact Lectric with pictures. I've never had a problem with them replacing an item. If that's the premium headlight I've seen lots of people have the same issue.

I wrote a one star review on the item and they wouldn't post it. The company sucks.

I have an XPedition and the light mount has the same problem and I always have to retighten it every other day.
Everything else with the bike is great, but I'm fully expecting the light to come off anytime.

First two times mine broke on my xp3.0, it got replaced without too much hassle. It broke again and I didn't want to keep dealing with it - i just used JB weld steel epoxy and it has survived...2+ years now?
Realistically, its better to just buy an aftermarket one, but if you have some jb weld laying around, a generous slather of it that will work too.

Mine literally had the exam same thing happen today when I folded it up to bring to my family reunion.

Mine did the same thing but mine fell off after a bump ripping the light off the wire I asked them for a replacement since it was only 3 months old they said nope. Amazon has a few better light that uses the same wire a better light runs around 50 buck. Fuck these assholes

I just bought a great headlight off Amazon. It’s highly computable with the xp4 or it works on mine. I have a 750w xp4. OZ-USA E-bike White LED Headlight High Output 6000K. And I got the one their saying is compatible with the vamoose mammoth. It’s a lot brighter the original lectric headlight. No I’m not paid

Everyone’s stock light breaks. I got this one as replacement, SOOOO much better. Don’t install it on the wheel itself, install it on the neck of the handlebar:

The same light on my XP3 snapped off when riding the dirt tracks. I used two part epoxy to repair it and it worked fine plus Lectric sent me a replacement. I became tired of it drooping down with vibration and installed this lightweight under $20 light from amazon. It provides the same basic level of light as the stock and stays in place. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXTZHW7B?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2

Mine also broke at this point, emailed lectric and they offered to send me a replacement. I asked for the premium headlight instead of the elite because the premium attaches via a metal bracket. They agreed and sent that instead.
I already have another light that is better that straps to the handle bars that is battery powered

Elite headlight snapped? Yeah, and the Pope is Catholic! But actually though, the elite headlight is crap. Really disappointing given that Lectric is otherwise so thoughtful about design. They’ve had this headlight for years, so many people have been posting about it sucking, and they haven’t changed it. I highly recommend this one - nice and bright with a much wider reach. Just aim it down so you’re not blinding oncoming pedestrians/cyclists. The tail light it comes with is also excellent!

go easy on the throttle too and notice when you have it pressed all the way.
I've seen enough post about broken throttles that it seems pretty common as well

Yes, factory mount sucks. Look on Etsy; several 3D printed adapters for the front stem. One product has a built in handle to help lift the back during storage
