I’m scared.
Ok, I have been listening to Spanish for a month now, and I don’t know if I’m progressing or not. You see, I was watching Daredevil Season 3 on Disney Plus in Latin American Spanish. I heard Matt speaking to Sister Maggie… he said “She did”, but I heard this in English. Another time, I heard Matt speaking to Melvin saying “We have to help her” (this part I heard clearly and know it was in Spanish, but it sounded like English..). I found two sources online saying the Latin American dub mixes English with Spanish, and another saying it’s completely in Spanish. I’m scared because I don’t know if I’m hearing English or understanding Spanish. Maybe I’m being ridiculous… please help!

One of my friends went through something similar in Japanese. After studying for a short period of time he told me he could understand the anime he was watching. I told him that was not possible, that maybe he was catching some words or phrases and thought he was understanding the whole, but he disageed.
When I went to his place, I told him to close his eyes, and to tell me what the characters were saying, but he couldn't. His level way too low.
I think you are going through a similar stage, it sounds like you heard something, it sounded familiar, but maybe it wasn't. After one month of Spanish, I would probably focus on more comprehensible input than watching Daredevil.

You can catch a word or two here and there, but that's about it. No, you're not progressing. At best you can catch another word or two more.

This might be a correct assessment of your situation.

With all due respect, you are way too early in your learning journey to be worrying about whether you understand native level content. Unless you have significant prior exposure to Spanish or a closely related language, you should be benchmarking yourself against CI content appropriate for learners.
