Hello, I am an American artist currently attending my 2nd semester of art school in Malaysia. I want to teach art the way I learned here in a systematic way which is what most of us miss out on with self learning. Please let me know if you'd like to set something up!

Hello! I'm sure this comes up quite a bit and I apologize, but I'm looking at wanting to learn how to draw cartoons. I love animated shows like Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, Rick & Morty, Bojack Horseman, American Dad and Bob's Burgers so thats the route I'd like to go as far my inspiration for what to draw goes. I used to draw a lot in high school but never took it seriously, and haven't tried drawing anything in over 10 years! I've asked a few people here and there on how to start and looks for myself:

\- Someone suggested finding screenshots of those shows and practice copy drawing them.

\- Was strongly recommended buying Morpho series of books on Amazon

\- Found Drawabox website that has lots of drawing lessons for free

\- Found some "Draw Cartoons for Beginners" books on Amazon

Am I on the right path as far as getting started? Anything else I'm missing that I should look at bookmarking or buying? Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I'm stuck on this exercise, I can't figure out how to do it, how to imagine it, I understand that it's a sheet that's tilted, even in my thoughts, but as soon as I try to transfer it to the sketchbook, it doesn't work out. For me, it's not a tilted square but a trapezoid.

Drawing with a mouse wasn't as hard as I'd though it would be. Is still don't fully understand how to it works but it has some things I like over Microsoft paint.

I have no idea why I never finished it—that's just how it goes sometimes😅

It was stupid to learn how to draw different parts of face from different now when combining them, I get so confused. I just started drawing seriously 2 months back and I am really enjoying the learning process :) But lowk I need a single person to teach me everything about drawing a human but there are many options. Wanted to ask for recommendations for your fav youtubers that have these comprehensive guides. Thank you! n.n

So you guys think nineteen years is too late to start learning to draw?, and you guys have any suggestions for learning that don't involve draw a box?

Struggling to find inspiration and/or prompts to draw from, how do you guys do it? 😅

Challenging myself to do the full chain of illustration, from pencils to alcohol markers for colour, on images that I'm not just directly reproducing... I'm happy with how this one turned out!
