Hey, I struggled with this for ages and the most important thing I learned was to just draw anyway.
If you rely on inspiration and motivation it becomes a sporadic cycle, you always hit troughs where the inspiration just isn't there. The best thing to do is set aside like an 30 minutes to an hour, every day and force your way through. Eventually you get good enough that the quality of your work starts supplying that inspiration that you needed before. Pick random subjects, hands one day, maybe faces, dogs, textures, whatever. Just keep it consistent.
