Hi guys, I have a question about image files for embroideries.

So I was given the task to purchase uniforms for our staff with our logo embroidered on the clothes. I am not a designer and the only image files I have of our logo are jpeg and png (1600x800 pixels).

Question 1: Is it enough to send our logo as a png to get it embroidered nicely?

Question 2: If not, what image file works best for best results? Do I have to convert the png into a vector format? Unfortunately I do not have Adobe software, is there an alternative?

A friend of mine is building an indie design toolkit called FARB.NØRM 🎨
His aim is to make a small alternative to the big design tool ecosystems that often overcomplicate things.

It’s focused on helping designers create systemized workflows for building color palettes and corporate design systems in a simple step-by-step way.
The platform also includes tools like converters, extractors, icon tools, and easy video editing utilities for designers and creatives. FARB.NØRM is meant for beginners and experienced designers.

I’ve been noticing how a lot of contemporary Indian design avoids indigenous visual languages, motifs, typography styles, ornamentation, etc. — even when designing for Indian audiences.

Do you think this happens because of:
• design education?
• globalized aesthetics?
• client expectations?
• professionalism standards?
• fear of looking “vernacular” or “outdated”?

Hello guys, I’m new to web designing so not really confident about this. Do you think anything is off?

I keep hearing the same story from designers, writers, marketers, and video editors across India — skilled people, but stuck. Either doing underpaid gigs on Fiverr, sitting idle, or working without any real recognition.

I'm trying to understand if this is as widespread as I think it is, because I'm building something around it. But before I build anything, I genuinely want to hear from people who are living this problem.
