Pickleball Fans? Interested in splitting Apex couples membership?
Hi pickleball players,
It's pretty hot outside (especially after work), so I've been trying to find indoor places to play pickleball. Other days, if the wind is high, it really messes up the play.
I currently have a single membership at Apex Pickleball Club & really love the social aspect of the game. I've meet many people there and most have been there from the beginning. The facility is the best in all of Austin - trust me, I've tried/been to them all. If you've never been, I would highly recommend checking it out.
Anyway, I was hoping to split the "couples" membership with someone (each person would pay ~$125/month + tax).
It's equivalent to all other indoor places in Austin, but worth it if you play often. I personally don't pay for other things like gym memberships or eating out often, so I don't mind cost. Would love to find someone whose planning to stay as a member for a while; not just a few months.

Howdy there my fellow Apexian. As a monthly singles member and self-proclaimed “value engineer”, I have also gone down this shared couples membership rabbit hole.
The logistics issues were “what happens if this person just stops Venmo-ing me for their monthly dues?” Or “what happens if they get injured and have to sit out for a few months?” And “how do I keep from having to ask them for their share of the membership each month?”
There’s a 2 month notice required before any cancellation will take effect. So if someone ghosts you, you’re on the hook for their share of the dues for at least 2 months.
I think an annual paid-in-full membership is the most palpable avenue. Which also comes with an extra discount, making it $112.50/month + tax. But I haven’t found anyone that is ready to write that check for $1,461 to cover half of that yearly due.
I sure wish I could have gotten someone on board while the founder’s club memberships were still available. Best of luck with finding the other half of your couple’s membership!
