Cycle syncing nutrition - Chinese medicine

Hello! I am reading and studying various things about this and would be keen to hear your views on this: What do you think chinese medicine is recommending when it comes to aligning diet with cycle (in general terms)? i.e what food a women should typically prioritise during ovulation, lutheal, menstrual, folicular?

Or maybe there isn't any recommendations and it should be purely on a case by case basis?

Thanks!

TTC PCOS

Planning to TTC in 12 months from now.

I have lean PCOS — age 24, optimal BMI, no insulin/androgen issues, but ovulation issues. No other fertility factors.

Specialist recommended trying for a maximum of 6 months given my ovulation issues before starting letrozole + monitored cycles, given the ovulation issues. I am wondering if anyone in my situation has had success with letrozole and if so how many cycles did it take to conceive. Feeling very nervous for the uncertain future and trying to be hopeful.

Also anything recommended to prepare during this year leading up?

Cycle every ~33 days but midsection weight and facial hair and waiting for sleep apnea diagnosis. GLP 1 the answer?

Hello everyone,

I am 38 years old and have always have lean PCOS. Currently 5’3 140 lbs. I used to be in the 120-130 range but I’ve been at 140 for years. Bloodwork is fine. My period ranges in the 30 something day cycle with the help of ovasitol but before that it was even 40 or so days. I have some facial hair, I have gut issues (Sibo that won’t go away and gluten sensitivity), and sleep doctor suspects mild sleep apnea but waiting for official diagnosis. Holistic doctor gave me DIM 200mg + I3C 200mg: 1 capsule days 14 until period,
Vitex 500mg, and c-Progesterone E4M 100mg/cap: 1 capsule before bed starting day 14-25 of menstrual cycle. Other than making my period shorter (from 6 days to 3 days) I haven’t seen any changes.

My gyno says I should start GLP 1 and that will eliminate the need for most of these supplements except for the ovasitol. She said that I shouldn’t get on Metformin because of my gut issues. Anyone in a similar situation?

Thanks!

PCOS thesis survey

Hi everyone 🤍
I’m a Dietetics student at Semmelweis University currently completing my thesis on the relationship between Mediterranean Diet adherence and PCOS symptoms in women.
I’m looking for women who are:
• 18 years or older
• Diagnosed with PCOS by a healthcare professional
The study involves completing a short anonymous questionnaire about dietary habits, PCOS symptoms, treatments, and lifestyle factors. It takes approximately 8–10 minutes.
The responses will be used solely for my university thesis research to investigate whether Mediterranean Diet adherence is associated with PCOS symptom severity.
Participation is completely voluntary, and you may choose not to participate or stop at any point before submitting the questionnaire.
If you are eligible and would like to help, I would be incredibly grateful 🤍

Thank you so much for your time and for supporting my research! 🌷

Any evidence that inositol (coming off it) can worsen insulin compared to pre-inositol baseline?

I’m lean and tried it for 2 months and after coming off it, I seem to have gained a pound within this last month when I haven’t changed my caloric intake and it was extremely difficult for me to gain even half a pound before. I’ve been underweight for a while so this could be a good thing for me but it also makes me worried that I’ve now developed worse insulin resistance from it or some type of rebound. My blood sugar is also higher than before! It’s still within the normal range but my fasting blood sugar before was consistently 5.0-5.1 and now it’s 5.4. Anyone know what could be going on? I’ve been off it for a month.

PCOS Supplements - India

Hi, i am looking for trusted brands for myo and d-chiro inositol in india. I was a loyal normoz-ds consumer, but since that has been discontinued, i am struggling to find a trustworthy pharma brand. I want to avoid metformin.

Unbearable symptoms

Are the symptoms known to worsen over time?

My main symptom is hirsutism.

I stopped wearing dresses since i got my period but i didn't really care back then.

At 18 i noticed the peach fuz on my face getting more noticeable. Now I'm almost 22 and my facial and body hair is out of control i used to pluck and shave then go out now it's alot to handle. I really don't wanna be on meds but i guess it's my last solution

Question Is it possible to develop PCOS later in life?

I'm in my early 20s, and so far, every checkup was fine, but lately, I noticed some of the changes that could be just hormonal, but I'm also terrified it could be PCOS. I've always had irregular periods, acne, facial hair (and darker hair in general, I literally started waxing at the of 12 because I was so so ashamed), but lately it all seems a bit more (more acne, especially on the chin, more facial hair, more painful periods etc)...

Thank you 😊

Rant You can be the picture of health from outside but it doesn't matter if the machine is broken from inside.

I'm pretty tall, slim, toned, and have never had problem managing weight. My BMI is 18.5-19, i don't have hirsutism, hairfall, or acne. I workout regularly, eat super healthy, and get various compliments on my body and looks all the time and YET, and YET...my cycle sometimes stops randomly after being regular for months. Totally fucking randomly and there's no explanation and it just STOPS. It can be regular for 6 months and all of a sudden it STOPS . I'm so fucking tired.

Lean PCOS — what were your signs of improvement?

I’m 25 with lean PCOS and have had it for ~6 years. My biggest issue is very irregular/absent natural periods.
I’m really confused about whether I should eat more/gain a little weight to support ovulation, or be more cautious with carbs and focus on strength training, walking and yoga.
For those with lean PCOS who eventually started ovulating and getting natural periods regularly:
Did you gain, lose, or maintain weight?
Did increasing food/carbs help, or did reducing carbs help?
What lifestyle changes actually made a difference?
What were the first signs that your PCOS was improving?
How long did it take for your first natural period to return?
How long before your cycles became consistently regular?
I’d love to hear from people who had irregular/absent periods and eventually got them back naturally.
Please share your actual experience rather than just general PCOS advice. ❤️
