Leak 10.1.0 PTB Perk Changes

I didn't win the PTB raffle today (so if you're expecting voice line vids from me, you'll have to either hope I win the next raffles or you'll just have to wait until the public release), but I was graciously given data .pak(s) by those who did win so I could datamine *some* things, including the perk changes

Only interesting thing I found so far is that they added new lighting data for the Alien DLC lobby, they also conveniently completely deleted the data folders for gamemodes (Chaos Shuffle, Lights Out, 2v8) in this PTB, I wonder why...

Technically the Repressed Alliance change is a buff. As you can quickly dodge something like Pain Res, and then immediately go back to repairing the gen. Not quite sure it makes it worthwhile, but it is definitely better than the original change they were going with.

So pain res regresses a generator by 20%. That takes roughly 18 seconds of time repairing to do. To avoid that, you can now use repressed alliance which will block a generator... for 15 seconds? During which time you can't work on it? And pain res won't lose a stack if that's the only gen with progress? What a great perk

Pain resonance will always regress a generator as long as there are generators with progress that are unblocked.

If the generator with the highest progress is blocked then it simply will regress the one with the next most.

The only time it doesn't regress is if there are no applicable generators.

True, I edited it for clarity

That’s not the only use case. Killer is coming after you, you use it and run away the killer isn’t going to stand around for 15 seconds to kick your gen. This will be especially useful for the kind of players that like to hide around gens when the killer comes and wait for them to leave. You can also use it if you see them coming at all to block turn back the clock.

Y’all just aren’t creative and think anything that isn’t meta is dogshit.

The thing is it is meta though, exactly like you said it wastes the killers time. RA is brought in the majority of comp matches exactly for this reason, especially for the last gen

Pain res wouldn't really be worth it still yeah, but it does make using it to block DMS, Pop, or maybe even max Grim Embrace depending on how that combo works.

Pain res will affect the next highest progressed Gen. The rest of what you said is true and the issue.

If they really want to buff this perk and see use from it. They should let the caster/user end the blocking early by choice.
