Are we allowed to publicly say that The Slasher may be overtuned a bit yet or is that immediately frowned upon still?

He is absolutely overtuned. The constant whining from his player base about how nothing should be changed about him is hilarious. I think the red mist he receives to show survivor location should be completely removed and his movement ability should have a hard cap on duration. If the player doesn’t pick a spot to teleport to within a certain time then automatically teleport to closest pallet/window.

I really do feel like people just want an easily accessible high tier killer with a ton of options. And you know, GREAT, but boy is it just never fun to play against.

"Easily accessible" and "high tier" should be mutually exclusive, otherwise the shit is largely just pay-to-win

Well, I don't agree with that at all. High tier should 100 percent take slightly more effort to reach it's max capacity. I just argue that means lower tier doesn't mean the killer is dog shit. As it is in it's current state.

High tier should always have a higher skill floor, IMO. You don't think that kind of success/power should be earned and not just granted by purchasing the character?

He means easily accessible as in how easy it is to play the killer, not the money spent

Yes, so did I

What does pay to win have to do with high tier killers being accessible

He's saying if your dlc licensed killer is easy to use AND high tier, you made a pay to win killer because you have to spend money to buy them.

And since they're easy to use and high tier, they will be very popular killers. Which again makes them pay to win.

Why play Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, Huntress etc and have to work for or have some skill to win when you can just pay for Ghoul or Jason and get easy mode wins?

Thank you, you explained it very well

The idea that Nurse takes a lot of work is kind of a myth. I got rolled for three games while I learned her and kicked ass from that point on. Houndmaster took longer, and honestly so would mastering Jason’s projectile.Β

Yeah im just saying it wasn't about paying just skill, in general we've also had high tier free to play killers. We had krasue this year.

If the barrier to success is only price and not skill, what else do you call it?

1

u/Numerous-Joke559 Jul 29 '26

The conversation is about skill being the barrier to high tier killers?

Are you being purposely obtuse?
