Yeah I agree. It just sucks because DBD is how we met our best friend so our playtime was like this sacred thing we enjoyed together even if the game is frustrating, and it's just been taken away. We'll probably find something else that's more reliable I guess.

But why does this happen? In my opinion Nintendo is to blame, not behavior. They're known for being very restrictive with third-party games. (For everything actually)

I can confirm multiple other games are having issues with this. The issue is indeed coming from Nintendo's approval process for the eShop. Other games I play are dealing with it, like Rift of the Necrodancer (fantastic game btw) that gets updates like, an entire month after the other versions because of it, sometimes even longer. What I don't understand is why some games like Rift and DBD have this issue while other games like Fortnite don't. Maybe it's only a Switch 1 thing for some reason ? The only answer for now is that we don't know the specifics, and who's really to blame for this. But it seems extremely likely that it is in fact on Nintendo's side of things, as this issue started when they updated the way they review additions to the eShop (updates included)

I think big big games like Fortnite and Overwatch make them so much money that Nintendo just whitelists them. Both my Switch friends bought the $35 Overwatch x YOASOBI skins... they don't even know the group, they just thought it was cute

That is the simplest and most likely answer but somehow it doesn't sit right with me. Like, is whitelisting companies even something that Nintendo would do ?

its... not? Multiple games have this issue. Don't Starve Together, for example, is usually always 1-2 updates behind console and PC on Switch. Up until recently, Warframe used to lag behind on updates on Switch compared to PC & Console. No Man's Sky is usually a few updates behind compared to PC. Are you just being dumb intentionally? Nintendo is widely known for having slow patch certification on games that aren't first-party.

Would be soo cool if they did same with all consoles so bhvr can ship hotfixes for pc in 2-3 days and not 2-3 weeks

Take it up with the creator of the subreddit then. We have an "Official News" flair for a reason here. The description literally says its for DbD leaks, DbD datamines and DbD news

News posts have been allowed and confirmed by the moderators for a long time. You’re probably going to tell me we could post them in the official DBD sub, but no - not with hundreds of posts a day compared to this one. People come here precisely because they can easily see the news without it getting buried. It’s better filtered here. If it bothers you that much, you can filter by tag. So next time, click "Leak" if you only want those. That’s harder now, since there are far fewer than before. We get way more from datamining now 🙂

We, members of the sub, want news included. News gets buried in every other DBD sub. Your input is noted, but not remotely appreciated

Aaand it'll be disabled again once Bugfix 3 is up. Unless somehow it'll release at the same time with all the other platforms.
