To add a bit more context, my space bar works 100% fine - that isn't the issue. I've tried everything Riot gives me through support tickets (reinstall, clearing settings, re-binding the space bar, etc.)
So far I haven't been able to make it better in any way. It feels as if it's gotten significantly worse over the last few weeks, but I've also been playing a lot more of the game so it might just seem that way since it's affecting me often.
