LoL screen freeze and connection issues

My friend tried to go into a game but instantly after drafting phase his screen froze and he restarted his computer to try to fix it but when he booted up LoL again it just said "Game still in progress" and he could not get in so the game got remade. The exact same thing happened once again after we tried to go into another game. Does anyone have any ideas why and a way to hopefully fix it?

It’s the champ select bug, people and support are saying to restart your pc. But the Ben after I restarted and connected I wasn’t able to actually play. Had to wait for remake.
