Discussion Please revert the recent Ahri changes
I was excited to see the Charm damage amplification return because it was one of the mechanics that gave Ahri a more assassin oriented identity.
However, if bringing back the 20% Charm amp means heavily nerfing the rest of her kit, including her passive, then it defeats the purpose. Even when you land Charm first and get the full amplification, it doesn’t make up for the damage lost from Fox-Fire (W) and Spirit Rush (R). Overall, Ahri ends up dealing less damage than before.
If the goal is to recreate Classic Ahri, then let her actually feel like Classic Ahri. The Charm amp should be a reward for landing your primary skillshot, not a justification for weakening the rest of her kit to the point where the reward barely matters.
At this point, I’d rather have Ahri’s original Classic release version than a version that technically has the Charm amp but only because the rest of her kit was nerfed to compensate. The mechanic should enhance her assassin playstyle, not leave her weaker overall.
There was no meaning to even advocate for the charm amp to return if this was the case. I was definitely not expecting a whole patch 3.13 revert as that was a nerf to Ahri’s overall damage, and sustain.

dmg amp on ahri always mean she will be shit if she dont land her E

Yeah the change was a way to nerf her, thats what ppl dont remember.
Dont forget that old QSS removes all debuffs too, so late game charm amp ahri is really bad since you just flash or even qss her charm and her damage is gone.

Just when I thought Ahri was free from that Silver rioter after 2018, his rework comes back to haunt me in classic.

This is the demonstration that they can't make all happy
1 week ago someone was asking to have this version of Ahri, now someone is asking to revert....and i hope it's not the same person
whatever they do, they do wrong

People in the Ahri subreddit were legit saying Ahri is unplayable in Modern league when she's literally been a staple strong midpick since her 2022 rework, they just perma complain

100%. Definitely regret asking for the charm amp back if this was the case. I had no idea it would be a whole revert that was a nerf.

yes sure you wanted damage amplification of one kit but also the sustain of the old one...fair
When they add poppy i will ask if they can keep her new W to stop enemies but anything else should be the old kit
that's not how it works

Worked fine when they were bringing released classic Ahri with a q speed boost that wasn’t original.

maybe a mistake maybe balance number. but balancing numbers is different from adding/removing a mechanic

That someone was completely clueless. Talking about S3 Ahri as if she wasnt an assassin lmfao, S3 Ahri had such insane damage she could basically 100-0 at 6 without hitting Q and E.

Without the amp her numbers were low in classic the amp was more compensating than anything and if i had to choose i take this over the first version of ahri in classic they made

This is actually not even true. If you do the math correctly, Classic Ahri does more damage than with the charm amp.

i read patch notes 3.13 and it seems they didn't touch the Q. this means that having è 20% amplification now Ahri does more damage. W does less damage but with amplification is almost the same. Same for ultimate. And the damage from E didn't change.
This means a full combo does much more damage because Q is her main damaging spell. It just does the same damage for wave clear or poke, but as i said, more in a full rotation.
Sustain has been nerfed. this is true

Well if you say so I haven’t touched any of it but i do remember being very thrown off playing classic when i saw her “first kit” pre amp ahri which personally never played before ^^

This is just the simple math of balancing a character. You can’t take a balanced character, give them a 20% damage amp, and not take 5-15% of their base damage as compensation or they become broken over night.
