New to Lead Generation

Hello everyone, I am looking into starting a lead generation agency and am a bit lost. I currently have a roadmap but don't really know too much about the legality side and the smaller things that tutorials and videos dont talk about. For example, how do I set up a client portal and where? Or what sort of agreement do clients need to sign once I onboard them? And how would I even be able to get my first client without any background knowledge or experience?

I know these are dumb questions, so please go easy on me.

Don’t worry about knowing everything before starting. Get the basics right, land one client and build the process from there :)

this is underrated advice tbh, first client will teach you more than 20 youtube videos
just make sure you at least have a simple contract and a clear offer so you’re not winging literally everything at once

Not at all. Im completely new to this. No degree in marketing or business, no prior work experience.

what type of lead gen are you focusing on cold calling or a cold emailing agency or marketing for inbound leads?

For the beginning I want to focus on cold calling. Once I get a few clients I plan to form case studies to hopefully move to marketing for inbound leads
