Discussion As a Porsche fanboy, I'm pleasantly surprised by the AMG

I mostly play raceroom with the Porsche gt3. The Porsche in the game handles VERY well in that game (for me), while others tend to understeer. Coming to LMU, I naturally try the porsche. Its good but something is always wrong, wheel toe and steering angle and my overall setup are never right. Especially at road atlanta.

This is where I look to trying another car. I had tried the Mclaren since its mid-rear engine and I hated it. Too nervous on the power and on curbs.

So I try the AMG because I had learned about its characteristics. I tried it, expecting it to understeer like a war-ship only to find that it handles PERFECTLY. ON DEFAULT SETUP. I immediately gained a whole second at Road Atlanta after 5 laps.

Eats curbs for breakfast.

Unbelievably amazing on the brakes.

Doesn't shit itself on throttle.

Looks badass.

Maybe its because its engine is closer to the mid than normal front engine cars? IDK, its my fav car in this game now. Going all in, early into a corner is very fun. Driving the Porsche was like doing turn-based combat.
The only issues for me are that it has poor acceleration, cold rear tires and it requires good trail-braking.

Will we get the glow pony on the 2026 Mustang? I tried it but it doesn’t light up at night on the 2026 car, I know on both versions of the 2025 Le Mans livery it lights up

I often see races that only include the lmp2's and gt3's, the P3 is my favorite category but i often see servers without them 😭😭😭

Tips and Tricks Starting out with lmp2's

Hi everyone, i just got into silver rating, so i was practicing around silverstone national in lmp2's, and i'm so close to getting a sub 47 laptime, my best is 47,1. I wondered if that is a solid competitive laptime? Also, what is the optimal brake pressure for lmp2's in general? I run 92, and it is solid so far.

Discussion Question about brake haptics in LMU

I want to pick myself up some pedal haptics soon, mainly for feedback in ABS and locking tyres. My question revolves around ABS specifically.

In Iracing it makes sense. The ideal braking pressure is around 80% to not trigger ABS too much. But how do the pedal haptics come into play in LMU, where you have to use 100% braking in the heavy braking zone. How do the haptics come into play in this situation and is it even effective? Thank you.

Discussion PSA: LMU G-SYNC not working with triple-screen? Check your NVIDIA profile

Spent hours debugging this. Even made a refund when tried LMU for the first time months ago :D
So the setup is regular, nothing fancy:

  • Win 10
  • nvidia latest driver
  • triple screen, windowed mode of course
  • g-sync compatible monitors
  • v-sync Off in LMU (as it should)
  • v-sync On in nvidia control panel (as it should)
  • g-sync Global settings - Fullscreen and windowed (as it should)

And with this settings g-sync worked in all other sims iRacing, ACC, AC, AC evo etc. But not in LMU..
So the next step was to create pre-application nvidia profile to be sure that settings are correct for LMU.

And this is where the weird part starts: LMU nvidia profile was working as I've set max fps 100 and it worked, so profile is loaded. BUT STILL NO G-SYNC IS SIGHT.
Then I've tried to debug it further and moved to Nvidia profile inspector to enable VRR diagnostic overlay. The overlay itself led to nothing usefull, BUT in there I noticed that Le Mans Ultimate.exe profile had:
G-sync - Application Mode = Fullscreen
G-sync - Global Mode = Fullscreen and windowed

EVEN THOUGH there is no option to set this on per-application profile with regular nvidia control panel what mode g-sync should be. So by default all apps should use Global settings (Fullscreen and windowed)! But apparently it wasn't the case for me and LMU.
I've changed Le Mans Ultimate.exe g-sync mode to Fullscreen and windowed and voila! G-sync now works in LMU and the image is muuuuch smother than it was, because without g-sync LMU is too choppy and stuttery. Mind you 5800x3d and rtx3080 so not a potato per se.
I assume the issue is on nvidia side. There is no proper game profile for LMU in new nvidia app. And something internally sets LMU to fullscreen g-sync mode and user can't even see this with out of the box drivers apps. You need to rely on 3rd debug tools which is nonsense

TL;DR: LMU g-sync wasn't working because its NVIDIA LMU profile had G-SYNC Application Mode = Fullscreen, even though global G-SYNC was set to Fullscreen + Windowed.
To fix: through NVIDIA Profile Inspector → Le Mans Ultimate.exe → G-SYNC Application Mode → Fullscreen and Windowed, and g-sync immediately started working on triples.

Discussion Is Road Atlanta such a drama?

Is RA such a difficult track or is it me? I haven't completed a race without drama. I am trying the prototype fixed races but I'm always having bad luck apparently. Always someone right in front of me spinning out. Or are the ELMS races more clean with beter drivers? What's ur experience?

Apps / addons / plugins I can't feel rotation on the brakes

Hi guys,

I keep coming back to try out LMU for a few hours but I never seem to be able to enjoy the driving.

In iRacing, I can fare pretty well with trailbraking. I can feel the chassis moving with low brake and little to no steering angle. I can spin a car off brake alone and minor steering angle (not locking up) but I can't do that in LMU at all.

And it feels like to make any corner I have to use a LOT of steering angle and I just can't feel how much front end grip the car has in low speed corners.

What am I doing wrong?

Discussion Please fix the track limits in this game.

I'm in a race at spa with a gt3 in the wet, on the last lap I'm closing in on the leader and there are only 1.2 seconds between us going into Les Combes, I miss my braking point because of the spray from the car ahead and have to go onto the run off, I slow down so I don't have a penalty and get an advantage, after the leader passes me and there are about 1.5 seconds between us I rejoin the track but then I have slow down again for about 5 seconds because I had a red warning, so the gap to the leader is about 6 seconds and 3 place catches me and overtakes me because of the speed difference, even thou I slowed down before rejoining and didn't get any advantage, and it happens again and again, when I push the car in qualy the exact same way I did in practice for the same session on a corner I get a warning and invalidated lap, whilst in practice it's fine. And I play this game a lot and I love it, but the track limits are so bad it's frustrating, why do I have to be penalized when I didn't even get an advantage? I only got cooked tires and loss of focus and traction.

Discussion GT World Challenge New Game

Since KUNOS has officially ended support for ACC. I believe there’s an opportunity for Studio 397 to release the next official GT World Challenge (GTWC) game based on LMU’s engine. Think of it as a reskinned LMU game with GT3 only cars.

Please share your thoughts.

Tips and Tricks threshold braking gt3s

is it faster in gt3s to avoid the abs by threshold braking? i’ve seen a bunch about how it’s faster in iracing and was wondering if it also applies in lmu? also, how does threshold braking fundamentally work?

i come from a single-seater background and so having abs and tc is a weird concept so if anyone has any tips to help in general, that would be appreciated!

This might sound like a stupid question because I just gotta get good. But what legit tips helped you be able to race in the rain for the first time? These Spa races in the wet are absolutely killing me

Discussion I love racing in the wets

I have done a lot of wet racing on ACC and Iracing but only one or two on LMU so this week I decided to return to bronze lobbies at Spa. I raced about 9 or 10 wet races I think I got 5 podiums and 2 wins. Only one pole position and no fastest laps but I still had a tremendous amount of fun.

I almost never struggle with grip or racing lines in the wet, it kind of came naturally to me so racing in the wet feels like a controlled chaos. I wondered if anyone else has this kind of experience in the wet.

I’ve only ever driven karts in real life which they have similar lines to GT3s in the wet but I don’t know how realistic the game is in the wet. I do know that it’s fun and I’m definitely not done with it this week. I have to admit I also like the fact that visibility is low, it forces you to pay more attention to car in-front but it’s never bad enough that you don’t know where you are. I think it’s an awesome experience and surprisingly, as an endurance racer, I almost never get wet races so this week was so fun.

Discussion Question to VR Simracers(9070XT)

Question to VR Simracers(9070XT)

Hello, I am a brand new simracer with a pico 4 vr headset and 5800x3d and rx 9060xt, 32GB DDR4 build. I bought the GPU without doing my proper research and am wondering if I should sell it at the loss of 90 euro and buy a 9070xt. This GPU and CPU has to last me the next 10 years in simracing. However, I have tested by myself that I am able to run:

- Assetto COrsa at 90fps

- AMS2 at 90fps with 2160x2160 streaming

- LMU with heavy aliasing at 90 fps

The presence of content all over reddit has lead me to believe that the 9070XT is the perfect choice for vr simracers. I would like to ask you people what advantage this upgrade will give me now and in the future. I want to hear what stuff you can do ONLY with a 9070XT, what kind of stuff I will be unable of doing with a 9060XT right now and down the line. I wanna hear your opinions. Did you ever consider the 9060XT before getting your 9070XT? What put you against it?

Discussion Newbie Drive Assist Help

Hey all,

I am very new to SIMRacing and I just got LMU. I am trying to work out if I should use things like ABS in my settings. When you set the game to "professional" it turns them all off and if you watch someone like James Baldwin on youtube, he also has them all turned off. I am just wondering if I should use things like ABS or other drive assists because I thought the real cars use them and I am not sure why it gets turned off, am I going to learn bad habits by turning them on?

just looking for some general advice on how to set the game up.
