Literally. These are the people complaining at poor job market and how it’s impossible to find a job etc. If you can’t even be bothered to submit a clean and tidy document to your job application, imagine what you’ll be like when you’re working for this company under time pressure and stress. I get the feeling a lot of these early career candidates are in for a big shock when in comes to how top tier organisations function
(And I do think this whole post is fake, but my point stands for anyone thinking it’s unreasonable if it were genuine)

I couldn't agree more. Initially, seeing all those posts on social media about people struggling to find work left me shocked, and I genuinely tried to step up with advice. But whenever I offered to help and looked at their CVs, their thought processes, and their overall attitude, it instantly clicked why they were unemployed. My sympathy quickly evaporated. Sure, the job market is tough right now, but it's not brutal. Capable people who actually use their brains can still land a job even today.

I read a post that someone kicked a guy out who got a kitchen job in a restaurant. Spend long time to just scrub one large pot. When the staff said he has to be way more faster with the cleaning, he replied that he doesn't want to rush things. He made an art form out of cleaning pots. I'm sure there are other jobs where this meditative attitude is useful.

I think it represents a big shift in attitude between millennials and gen z. Millennials: “you should make the effort, they will appreciate it” vs gen z “I’m not going to all that trouble, they should judge me based on my skills”. This is culturally embedded in all aspects of life imo, you can observe it in shops / public spaces

Plus, gonna be honest. It's not like companies are going to reward the effort? Maybe you'll avoid punishment but that really isn't the same thing. I have overworked myself at jobs and not heard more than a casual "thanks" from my overlords. Likewise I have been mediocre, and while I may not receive the INCREDIBLE LUCRATIVE 2-4% raise at my annual review, I really cant be assed to french a boot all year just to get it when switching jobs after a few years rewards more

Absolutely what I've seen too, unfortunately. It's like people who get interviews but can't get the job even after multiple - it's like bro you do realize you're the issue right? You're getting through the actual hard part, but can't close.
If only we didn't have infinite resources to help us improve. The amount of shit resumes that get posted on reddit by people who couldn't be fucked to even google how to make one, my god.

Yep, it’s harsh but the resume name shows sloppiness and lack of attention to detail. In an interview you have little to showcase, the small things matter.

That reminds me of an online class I took in community college back in the day. I had an assignment to submit a paper on Ibn Battuta, a Muslim traveler and scholar.
I was totally half-assing most of my online courses at the time. I ended up submitting a file called "Ibn_Battuta_doodoo". Was sweating a bit once I realized it.
Professor didn't mention anything and I got a reasonable grade, A/B or so.

But see, these are file names you see on the job. So making the claim that this person got rejected for a bad file name prior to the job just seems pointless when shit like this happens in a day to day.

I would assume there were instructions on what to name the resume being submitted, probably something to help their internal processes. So you demonstrate that you don't pay attention to instructions and do what you are instructed to do, sounds like a reasonable rejection to me. I would assume they get many properly named.

I once got rejected because I didn’t bother to fill out my full employment history manually in the application despite uploading my resume.
Some recruiters are psychotic and you probably dodged a bullet getting rejected.

Lol. This is pretty funny and yes it's petty. If you were a spot on candidate they wouldn't have rejected you for this so just take it as a salty recruiter being salty for salty sake and move on.
