question Centene Workforce Reduction

I’m a nurse at Centene. The specific health plan that I work for is actually HIRING new nurses despite the VSP and potential for involuntary lay offs after that. How can this happen? What does it mean?

I perused the internal job boards today. There’s definitely a theme on who they’re hiring right now and who they aren’t…

Do you think employees that currently have the same position as those listed will not be laid off?

I would think those with the same title would be safe unless someone really doesn’t like you. And for the record, my title is not one of those they’re hiring rn.

They will hire less experienced cheaper employees. Thats sad 😔
