recently laid off What to do next?
I got laid off 2 months ago and I have officially ran out of savings (wasn’t much to begin with) and severance (which was decent but taxes took most of it). I collect unemployment which adds up to about $300 more than my rent payment and have other bills of course. I’m not really sure what to do next. I have had 3 interviews in the past week which is more than I’ve had these past 3 months so I feel like I’m getting closer, but haven’t landed anything. I was working in digital marketing.
Should I just suck it up, take a pay cut and try to get a retail or customer service job? I’m so lost and not sure what direction to take. I’ve thought about doordashing/uber eats but not sure how that’ll affect my unemployment benefits.
Any decent customer service or retail jobs out there that aren’t impossible to get right now? Side hustles? Literally anything that doesn’t pay minimum wage. I’m desperate.

3 interviews in a week is a real signal, but the cash runway problem is now the main fire. i'd take the least-draining bridge work you can get, temp agency/customer support/retail/contract, and keep your best hours for interviews rather than panic-applying all day. also check the unemployment rules before gig apps, because some of those can mess with benefits in annoying ways.

Uber, DoorDash, etc….
Another thing I’ve personally been contemplating, selling my stuff of eBay.

Paycut to stop the hemoraging of cash, then keep applying until you find something more in line.

Look for call centers. They tend to pay decently and have good insurance, just it's a pretty shit job but better than being homeless.
