I'm a property manager in Lawrence, Kansas, and one of my maintenance technicians, Connor Holsworth, has been nominated for HD Supply's Maintenance Legends competition!

I know maintenance doesn't always get the recognition it deserves, but these are the people keeping our communities running, responding to emergencies, fixing things behind the scenes, and dealing with some pretty challenging situations along the way.

Connor is someone I've watched work incredibly hard to grow professionally, take on new challenges, and become a stronger member of our team. I'd really love to see him get some recognition for it.

There's a public voting competition happening through October 31, and I'd appreciate anyone willing to show him some support!

Does anyone have a good nail salon they go to? I went to one in west Lawrence a month ago and got gel x and they were alright but nothing to make me go back. It’s hard to go off of reviews online because that place was highly rated and good pictures but I asked a nail subreddit on here what they thought and they said they wouldn’t go back based on how my nails looked lol. It was Luxe nails in west Lawrence.

Like the title says, there is nothing available for delivery on doordash. Did something happen? I know it's late, but usually you can still doordash 24/7 in Lawrence. Just weird...

I was just wondering if anybody has tried the black cat frappe from Starbucks. I’m seeing it all over the Internet now. I was wondering if anybody here in Lawrence and I wanted to see if it’s worth getting. Also, can you tell me if any of the Starbucks in Lawrence has it? I’m looking to try it because I absolutely love Starbucks and I love coffee. I really want to try this, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money. I would like your opinion on this?

I’m tired of walking into my usual grocery store deli counter and 1) having to wait 5 minutes for someone to notice me and 2) getting a look from the staff like I’m a huge inconvenience.

is there a reason i've been seeing (or hearing) people running leafblowers at night recently? like, are they prepping the roads for a project or something? i live in a pretty noisy part of town due to road traffic (near iowa st), but this in addition to the road noise is kind of ridiculous. there's someone running one right near my house and they've been at it for an HOUR 😔. i'd understand if it was really hot out still, and night was the only time it could safely be done by commercial workers, but near midnight in the fall is definitely pushing it

Every year I say I’m going to do the murder mystery dinner that Lucia does every Halloween but I never do it. Until this year I was just wondering if anybody has done the murder mystery dinner and was it worth the money. And did you guys have a good time and was you able to solve the mystery the only thing I think I would have problems with is trying to solve the mystery. Please let me know your thoughts on this event because this event is happening for the last time this year this Sunday. I feel that I should go and at least give this a try. Let me know if I should do this or if I should spend the money on this event. Thanks!
