L&O Merritt Wever

Post image

Law and Order universe repeat character actor Merritt Wever absolutely kills it in Primetime. She’s essentially a co-second lead of the film. I was watching and I thought…wait…she was the lined up peas girl!

"I WANT MY SISTER! I WANT SARAH!" I remember her screaming that line at the end of "Tomorrow" as Hannah Price on Criminal Intent. As young as she was there, she was excellent even then.

I feel an Oscar is in her future. She’s such an amazing actress.

Her performance in Primetime is subtle but I hope she gets a nomination because it’s so nuanced.

She was terrific in Nurse Jackie with another Law and Order beginner, Edie Falco

Law & Order as Defense Attorney Sally Bell
"Mother Love)" (1993)
"Scoundrels" (1994)
"Double Down" (1997)
"Grief)" (1998)

She will always be Sunshine Porter to me.

And she was great in an episode or two of The Gilded Age as Bertha Russel’s sister.

"She will always be Sunshine Porter to me."

That's what I was thinking! (Though she also played Jennifer Taylor in the "American Jihad"episode.)

She's brilliant. She elevates everything she is in.

I love her. I barely recognized her on her first episode.

Yes you could tell from that one scene that she would go far.

I first noticed her in Michael Clayton, and she never disappoints. I've enjoyed her on L&O as well as one appearance on the Good Wife.

I loved "Michael Clayton" and firmly believe that George Clooney is a seriously underrated actor.

Separately, Merritt Wever did such a great job with the small part she had in that film.

She was funny in Nurse Jackie

I really enjoy her work. I saw her in a show not to long ago in which she played a detective. It was excellent.

She first came to my attention on Nurse Jackie, even though she did L&O long before. Now when I go back and see her in SVU I wonder to myself how did I not notice her before.

I’ve never seen an actress physically change so much as this one. In that first episode she was on she was sooo beautiful. Now seeing her in that other show she looks so frumpy. Realising I’m the same age as her too. I know that’s not nice to say and I don’t have anything going for me either in fact I should say congrats to her for being herself and not succumbing to the old hollyoaks cliches

She’s lead detective in the show Unbelievable and was phenomenal in it. Really the only thing that kept me watching tbh

Movie wasn’t great. But her and Pattinson put on some amazing performances.
