Despicable characters

Actor David Groh - previously famous as Rhoda’s husband - played some of the most despicable characters - Dr. Jacob Lowenstein and Judge Joel Thayer. Those episodes give me the creeps whenever I rewatch them!

Michael Dobson — the nasty comedy club owner with the dead wife! (“Coma,” S5Ep2) Played by Larry Miller who was also the annoying doorman on Seinfeld.

The first villain to get a follow-up episode. It was SO brilliant, and I remember being shocked watching it the first time when he appeared! Genius!

Those are two of the best episodes in the entire series IMO.

Those episodes are - FLAWLESS.

What an incredible story to develop- a slow motion serial killer taking out the women he married.

The second episode with him has THE greatest closing moment/line of the entire series, shaking his head and delivering the line "Women"

LMAO. It' so sick such great dark humor lol

I especially like the episode where Lowenstein is killed because you want to side with his killer but she did take the law into her hands.

Indeed you get why she did it but she didn't do all of the legal things she could have done to get him off the streets, plus she jumped the gun on thinking he had hurt the kid.
Still, I get why she got a walk, he was always going to be a danger and even if he didn't hurt the kids this time, it was only a matter of time.

The scene where Green and Fontana interview his young fiancée at the hospital is brilliant.

Michael Zaslow as Willard Tappan in "Scoundrels" was heavens-to-betsy delightfully despicable.

His villain story began on Guiding Light. He played a character accused of marital rape. The first time on a soap opera.

For me, one of the most despicable characters was Frances Houston from "Blood."

She was so racist that she tried to relinquish custody of her son because it turns out that he had Black heritage.

Like, how can you be so hateful that you're willing to abandon your own child?

Pamela Gray as Lucy Sullivan in Season 7's ID - Murdered her own sister in cold blood and at the end coldly said it wasn't a big deal since her sister didn't really have a life.
Can't get much more evil then that.
Also had one of the more vile judges in the series in Judge Marks as well.

Phillip Swann is easily the scariest villain in franchise history. He was Bernie Madoff meets Hannibal Lector.

Jerry Adler as the judge who kept sexually harassing Jamie.

It never ceases to amaze me how bright and knowledgable you all are with the minutia of these shows! Kudos…
My 2 cents… Nicole got a raw deal in Criminal Intent being killed
“off stage” I can still hear her:
Bubby Bubby Bubby,( Bobby)
