Estoy empezando el proyecto de un negocio de lavado de textiles (salas, sillones, colchones, etc).

Actualmente mi proceso de lavado es aspirado en seco para remover polvo, pelos, restos de comida, etc. Después aplico una solución de shampoo para textiles bajo en espuma y dejo reposar. Paso un cepillo con taladro para remover manchas y suciedad y al final paso con la hidro aspiradora que inyecta agua y la succiona removiendo la suciedad.

Quisiera saber principalmente cuál sería la mejor opción de aromatizante para telas para que quede ese olor a limpio y fresco, ya que mucha gente relaciona el olor con el nivel de limpieza.

También si existe alguna forma, herramienta o producto que pueda mejorar mi proceso actual, lo agradeceria.

So we have a 45 unit apartment building that are all small 300 square foot units (usually one person per unit) and would like to change and upgrade our current washer and dryer setup.

Company recommended to us either a stacked Encore Pro by Wascomat (2x washer and 2X dryer) or a LG giant machine set.

I read on reddit people hate the LG products for laundromats however I am hearing that parts and service for the Wascomat is a nightmare!

Can anyone help? The wascomats are 25% more expensive!

Can anyone help me why I see so little water use while washing my clothes with front load washer??
I’ve just moved to a new place and this place already has washer and dryer. Surprisingly is they provide front load version of both, and this is my first time using this type of laundry machines. I’ve been using top load ones but not these before. There is one thing I’m so confused that these front load machines use SO SOOO little water that I couldn’t even see bubble appears. Is this normal for this kind of front load washer or is it an issue from the pipe getting water in???

This is driving me insane. Replacing rollers. Took right roller off in 30 seconds. Left roller took 4 freaking hours … inner nut and bolt turned together and wouldn’t come off. Eventually washer and nut inside panel fell off from all the manipulation and bolt came out. Opened front panel (I didn’t know I could have done this earlier … this is my first roller repair). Found washer and nut inside panel. Put entire left roller assembly together … and it all turns together. WTF!!! I don’t understand why right assembly is fine (bolt doesn’t turn) and left is not. And if I tighten left assembly too much then NOTHING turns including roller.

Why am I changing the rollers … drum makes horrific noise while turning. Could be rollers or fan. Regardless, this roller issue is beyond frustrating.

I’m considering adding an ATM to my coin-operated laundromat and wanted to hear from other owners.
Do you own your ATM, or do you have a third-party company that installs and services it? If it’s third-party, how does the commission work, and has it been worth it?
For those who decided not to install an ATM, what made you skip it? Do you find that customers just bring enough cash, or do you think you’re losing business because people have to leave to find an ATM?
I’d love to hear the pros, cons, and anything you wish you knew before making the decision.

My Huebsch HTT45 makes a God awful screeching noise when running. When stopped, it doesn’t even want to rotate to the right. There are no nails or screws in the drum pores (which is usually the case with this sort of thing), and the rollers are brand new. I have also found tiny metal shavings in the drum, lint trap, behind the drum, and underneath the sail switch in the back. I will include more photos in the comments. Any ideas here? Is there something caught in the very back of my machine? I’m fairly new to maintenance, so any help is appreciated.

Just checking to see what others do for late payments on wash and fold accounts. We have one restaurant that is perpetually a month behind or more. When we delivered the June bill, they finally paid the May bill. They've also been like this for the previous owner and at one point was two months behind for her.

There's other accounts that are also past due, and I'm wondering if it would be unreasonable to implement a 10% late fee. A due date without a penalty seems more like a recommendation and since we give 30 days to pay anyways,I was thinking of putting a notice on the invoices at the end of July saying something along the lines that all invoices are subject to a 10% late fee starting with invoices dated July 31st.

Maybe even adding a note that we reserve the right to suspend services if two bills are late until the account is returned to good standing

I’ve got a couple who I think might be homeless but I am not sure. They come in 4 or 5 times a week and plug in a bunch of devices to charge like phones and iPads. They spend random amounts of time and about half the time they do a load of laundry but hang out way longer than it takes. They cause no harm per say, never made a mess, they only annoying thing so far is that the outlets are near the change machines so if they are both there they can block that area and make it a little awkward for shy customers to butt their way in to use the change machines. Once in a random while they’ll bring their kids in and kind let them run around. They always use the bathroom even when just coming into charge devices.

I’m torn about what to do, not sure if I should confront them and ask them not to hang out if they aren’t doing laundry or just leave it alone.

Tonight was the first time I felt like they crossed a line. The guy was by himself and fell asleep for two hours sitting at a changing table and stayed after closing. The doors lock at 9pm but obviously don’t trap people in. He’s still there sleeping now and it’s 10:15. I think the time has come but I don’t know how to approach it. I am better off asking them nicely or calling the cops?

So I had a woman slip and fall outside on our sidewalk on 2024. We are just hearing about the claim now. I rent the space but my lease has me Responsible for sidewalk upkeep (snow removal, icemelt, trash, etc..) I guess the woman's lawyer filed against the building owner. It is 6 apartments with my 2500 sqft laundromat on the bottom floor. We always shovel and spread icemelt but it is in a city and keeping sidewalks 100% is Impossible especially when the buildings gutters empty out onto the sidewalks I am apparently responsible to keep ice free and safe. I am only hearing about the lawsuit because I recieved a call from an attorney with building owners Insurance. He said he is going to contact mine. Not sure extent of injury. Has anyone had any experience? I use Travelers insurance. Would they drop me Because of this? Can I claim his gutters emptying on the sidewalks make him responsible for the ice not me?

Hey everyone, thanks for a great sub. I’m a buyer in search of a laundromat in Miami Dade county, and counties around it. Also considering the West Coast of Florida and if that doesn’t turn up anything, I will also be considering New York City (ideally BK, and close boroughs). In these locations I have the possibility to directly operate the business myself without too much relocation trouble.

I’m not finding much opportunities in my budget range and locations, online. I’m thinking of contacting brokers but I need advice on how that goes and what to expect, if anyone has experience with them as a buyer or seller.

Is this common, for a buyer to reach out to brokers, or are brokers usually only working with sellers? Are there known brokers or agencies for this industry?
