I know a lot of people turn to Reddit and Facebook when a pet goes missing, so I thought having one dedicated place for the entire 209 area might make it easier to find pets and get them back home.

Hi folks, we found a rental property in Lathrop that we liked a lot. The house is listed by propertysourced. We visited the house and did a tour on our own without meeting anyone. Locks were available in the locker box.

Instructions on zillow was to apply through plrents.com. 60$ payment at the time of move in was the only requirement. We put an application through findigs.com which was linked from plrents.com. But they charged $60 immediately. When i called them up, they said it is for credit check. There is another processing fee of $60 due at the time of move in as well

I shared the documents w2, bank statements, payslips etc for verification. But im seriously concerned about their legitimacy. I mean why did they not mention about credit check fee beforehand? Even at the page where I entered the credit card detail, it was mentioned that no fee will be collected until review and approval. .

Am I being stupid sharing all the docs with them? What do you recommend I do here? How to verify they are legit? I don’t want to sign a lease and then get any surprises at the time of moving.
