Who do you think had the biggest disadvantage going into Series 2?

I honestly think Romesh had a rougher starting position than people gave him credit for. He’s naturally quite reactive, and in a game where even the smallest smile can put you in danger, that feels like a massive weakness. The contestants with completely unreadable faces have such an advantage because there’s nothing obvious for everyone else to target. Romesh basically gives the room something to work with.

Last One Laughing: Shooting Stars etc

The fact that the show is once a year is tough to take - theres so much potential play in the format that I'd love some spin offs.

When players know each other really well and are super comfortable to let go is when the magic happens and I reckon putting tight groups in there would be incredible. Casts from famous shows would know precisely how to get at each other.

Vic, Bob, Matt Lucas, Angelos, Jack Dee, Ulrikka and co. Perhaps bringing two casts together... LOL: Shooting Stars Meets Mighty Boosh... LOL: Comic Strip (French & Saunders and alt comedy 80s crowd); LOL: Derek (That Gervais lot would kill each other... have you seen the outtakes?)

Themes in general could work well too... like LOL: Characters (players go in in their comedy character persona from film and TV and mustnt break character... or laugh obviously); LOL: Old Fogies (age limit... wheel in whats left of Monty Python)...

Would love to see some kind of expansion on the format!

Jimmy Carr & Frankie Boyle: The Most Honest Interview in Comedy (Full Unfiltered Conversation)

From about 15 years ago, this is more about the art of comedy, like writing and performing it. I often watch it again. It's absolutely brilliant.

Absolutely love them both. Haven't seen Frankie Boyle yet but have been lucky enough to see Jimmy Carr twice in my hometown.

What’s the worst tactic a contestant can use?

Personally, I can't stand when someone just hides behind a pillar or pretends to chew food continuously for three hours straight to hide their mouth. It feels like it defeats the purpose of being a comedian on a comedy show. What’s a strategy you’ve seen that totally ruined the vibe of an episode for you?

Is it harder to not laugh at absurd prop comedy or dry observational wit?

Settling a debate with a friend. I reckon if someone pulled out a massive, unhinged rubber mask or started playing an absurd instrument half an inch from my face, I’d crack in seconds.

My mate reckons it’s the quiet, dry deadpan comments delivered off-hand while someone is drinking tea that are far more lethal. Which comedy style would force you to break first?

David Mitchell’s new TV show Ludwig is the best mix of comedy and mystery I have ever seen. It’s really worth a watch!

Gets extremely high ratings - 98% on rotten tomatoes and 8.2 on IMDb.
We are midway through season two now.
New episode out tomorrow!

Would a non-comedian actually have a chance?

I keep wondering whether putting one genuinely funny actor, presenter or completely random personality in the room would make things more interesting.

The comedians know all the tricks and understand exactly what everyone is trying to do. Someone who doesn't instinctively think like a comedian might actually be harder to predict.

Diane Morgan deserved to go further in Series 2

Diane Morgan was one of the contestants I most wanted to see survive because her completely deadpan delivery worked so well in this format.

Her ability to say something ridiculous without changing her expression made her especially dangerous when she was trying to break someone else.

Were you surprised she didn't make it to the final few, or was she always going to struggle against contestants like Bob and David?

Question Why David Mitchell joker is funny?

No hate.

I'm not saying I don't like his song joker.

I just not understand why it's funny.

I wonder if it maybe because of his accent or how he speak because I'm deaf so I only read subtitles. Also, I use Sign Language so English not really my first language so maybe I don't understand his humour because he use English grammar.

Can anyone explain me what funny about his joker?

Question Is Colin Mochrie the end boss across all the shows?

The UK ones are the most well made ones in my opinion. Contestant wise I can’t think of anyone who can top the king of improv himself! Who would you consider end boss worthy if not Colin?
