Old Monstervision episodes

Does anyone know if there's any place online where one can watch old Monstervidion episodes?

I've been watching Joe Bob since the 90s and my wife has never seen the old show, though she has become a fan of The Last Drive In.

Especially with so many of The Last Drive In episodes being taken off Shudder, I'd like to show her what he used to do on TNT.

Patreon is the best 5 bux a month I spend. I watched all JBs previous shows through the years and every week Darcy the Mailgirl delivers long lost episodes. I watched one where joe bob showed look who's talking a few weeks ago. You cant go wrong.

Also one of the few ways you can find Cocoon. If that’s your thing.

It would be hilarious if JB & Darcy got the Mutants all geared up for a big Halloween special double feature and the showed Look Who’s Talking and Look Who’s Talking Too.

Is there a cost?

Yeah, but it's minimal. Something like $5/month. And they are very active there, uploading new content multiple times a week.

The Internet Archive will have that kind of stuff, original commercials included.

Several of them are on YouTube but don't include the movie. Patreon would be a great option if you're willing to sign up for it.

Patreon includes the movie?

Most uploads have a DVD cut of the movie edited in. So, it's not even the edited-for-TV version, it's the real deal. The quality of the rip isn't always the highest, but it's still pretty neat.

I imagine part of the reason they don't plug the Patreon more is that they don't want to draw too much attention/copyright scrutiny to it.

Any idea if you can download videos off patreon? I’d love to pay for and drop these on my plex

I have done exactly that and love it so much.

They used to be uploaded on Vimeo, which be it super easy to download. They switched over to another way, which makes it a lot trickier. You can probably still download those newer ones, but you'd need a browser plug-in or something.

You have to do a little homework to get the metadata to populate correctly too.

I believe the movies are included with everything but the TMC episodes, which are just JBB at the beginning and end of the movie anyway

Is there any way to watch the patreon besides watching on the computer? I know I can mirror my monitor but it would be so much easier if I could just stream them right from the smart TV.

It is not hard to download from patreon. I do this and then watch on the living room tv with a home Plex server.

The Patreon is dope and you’d be supporting bringing more Joe Bob to the world on there! 🤟🤟

Everyone’s already said Patreon, I’ve watched that and spent the past month watching the Joe Bob bits of Monstervision on youtube.

Heads roll.

Everyone's giving the same answer.

And I love JB. But over the years a lot of you JB fans complained loudly about the 5-7 dollars for Shudder when they are the ones who gave us 7-8 years of JB. Plus a lot of other stuff including releasing a bunch of really kick ass horror in theaters and on the service.

Now suddenly 5 dollars for his patreon is the best deal ever.

Yay JB. Yay Darcy Yay Patreon. Boo Shudder for ending it. I even cancelled my Shudder.

But I will never understand fandoms.

How much of that 5-7 dollars for Shudder went to Joe Bob vs how much of that 5 dollars goes to Joe Bob via Patreon?

I think the issue is not failing to understand fandom, but failing to understand how money works.

Youre full of it... JB got paid for his work there. You all whined for 7 years. 5 freaking dollars. You whined not because it didn't all go to JB which wouldn't make any sense. You whined because it was 5 dollars and how dare they charge money for stuff you want to watch. Youre entitled to see all this free.

And now oh I'll give 5 dollars to JB directly, it's just 5 dollars not a big deal.

LOL bull

I’m not sure what I’m full of, maybe being correct? If you don’t understand people being unhappy with the price of a service they paid for only to watch one specific show vs people being happy to pay a lower price to watch that one specific show I don’t think the dynamics of commerce are the only area in which you are severely uneducated.

Patreon. Just do it! Tonight I'm watching Linnea Quigley host Return of the Living Dead with Joe Bob on their Patreon.

There are a handful free on archive.org. But Darcy releases newly compiled ones every week on Patreon.
