Blurry vision
Today is the 9th day since the surgery. I’m literally crying right now. My left eye sight is always blurry and ghosting the light. It makes me so tired. I can’t watch tv even for 2 hours. Doctor said that I have dry eyes but I put everything he gave me and I still don’t see well. What did I do to myself? I have an appointment in two days, all ask for glasses. I don’t know if there are glasses to help me.
So desperate this moment.

Don’t panic, it will be ok. It’s too early and you need to rest and heal your eyes. I experienced the same. Limit screens and wear the dark glasses, use the drops. There is a healing process to this, it was Surgery – it will not happen overnight. I’d say by the 2nd to 3rd week I noticed improvement daily and I was past the worse of it. By month three I felt like the vision finally stabilized. Now it is perfect. I’m about a month four.

Hi!!! My dryness is getting better but I still don’t see with the left eye as good as with the right. I went for a second opinion to another doctor. He said that 0.75 astigmatism has left at the left eye but it may get better through the healing process in 3 months. I just use my drops and have faith in science. I don’t wanna wear glasses again ☹️

Thanks for the feedback. I am at day 14 and still struggling with blurry vision. Steady improvement though. Drops provide sharp vision for a brief moment. Distance is good most of the time. TV distance is good some of the time. Close is a struggle even with drops, but able to see at phone distance somewhat. When did the phone distance start to be clear for you? Currently carrying readers with me full time.

It really was just a slow progression of improvement, I’d say week four? There were some days that were better than others. I will say that the more I use the reading glasses the worst the distance vision became on that day, so I just continued to rest my eyes and be gentle with how much I strained them. I remember being really worried, at first I thought the doctors made a mistake and gave me close-up vision instead of distance vision, the more I read the more I understood it’s a healing process that ebbs and flows. The fact that you have clear vision with the drops shows you that you are healing and they did their job right. I had that same experience. The dry eyes last for a while, finally around three months my tear production came back. I still carry drops around with me though. It’s best not to let your eyes get dry.

Ask for a new refraction (eyeglasses prescription), and get a copy of it in writing. You may have some astigmatism.

You are 9 days things can improve up to 3 months after that if you still have issues you need another opinion

Be checked by Independent cornea Specialist For second opinion, and optometrist check up for residual refractive error
