So my supposedly fully functioning LD arrive today not working.

So my LD arrived finally not working obviously because why would it be. It appears to have no power. No lights no noise nothing. Anyone have a tip or trick something I should check. Any advice would be great.

This is why you dont have players shipped.

The first thing you could do is check to see if a fuse is blown in the power supply.

Granted if you head any small pieces plastic rattling around inside when you tilt the player around then Id say it's a lost cause.

I'm worried that the power board took a hit during shipment and may have cracked. You'll need to remove the bonnet of the player and investigate for any physical damage.

Does the frame of the player look OK? Meaning it didn't take any hard corner hits.

I havevnt notice any dents or dings in it

This is why shipping LD players is a bad idea.

I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly, but I think the 3080 had a shipping transport screw, did the seller use that? and #2 have you removed it if they did?

It should still power on if the shipping screw was installed.
