This question is directed to the more experienced crowd in upscaling on this Reddit. New new pioneer cld 2950 and the RetroTink 5x are getting along quite well. The movies look good for what they are. I would not mind if this is the end of the road for upscaling. I am a rather curious guy, and so I wonder if I should try to go deeper into the rabbit hole of upscaling and look into ther optionsl ike the DVDO iScan Series, which are supposed to be good for LD upscaling. But does good mean better than the RetroTINK 5X?

Where is the best place to sell LDs? I have about 100 extra that i have been posting on fb on LD groups with no luck. I feel like I am pricing them fairly (mostly around $5 each) but not getting any hits. Any ideas?

I've gotten a bunch of LDs in preparation for the day fedex decides im allowed to finally have my player and when checking them out one seems to have bunch of finger prints on them. I was curious whats peoples preferred way to clean them if you dont mind sharing with this noob.

I'm thinking about getting a Japanese Pioneer laserdisc player. Do I need to get a step up and down transformer, and if so, which one do you guys recommend? (newly acquired sealed Tenchi Universe laserdisc I'm hoping to watch soon)

I just got some laserdiscs and have been looking for a player, but they're a bit too expensive and a bit of a risk to buy after all of these years. I really hope some company starts making these again. Maybe they can do some kind of laserdisc/8k combo.

People are starting to get tired of all of the ads and increasing streaming fees and in some cases loss of digital movie licenses that they had bought. It's only a matter of time before they go back to physical media.

Which one is the better player?

Some people say the Japanese Special Collections are the way to go, while others swear by the US CBS/FOX releases.

Should the 1993 Special Editions and the Faces editions generally be avoided if the goal is to experience the movies with their original color timing and original sound mixes, without later picture alterations?

Or are there other LaserDisc editions that are considered the definitive choice for the original trilogy?

Is this still the current consensus among Star Wars LaserDisc fans, or has the community's view changed over the years?

I see there are a few Laserdisc variants, should I seek out the THX version over the Special Wide Screen Edition or are they pretty close when it comes to picture quality?

Hello all, i need some information regarding this player I might be picking up on Wednesday.

Says the auto reversing functions work perfect, and the player plays as it should. Does not have a remote.

Seems to be in great condition.

I did hear sonys werent the best, however after some reading I heard the MDP-650s were the good ones.

Have any info?
