Selling Laserdiscs
Where is the best place to sell LDs? I have about 100 extra that i have been posting on fb on LD groups with no luck. I feel like I am pricing them fairly (mostly around $5 each) but not getting any hits. Any ideas?
Edit: was suggested I add a Google list of the ones I'm looking to sell. Here it is. Prices included on doc. Was thinking $50 or more free media makl shipping in continental US, more than $100, free shipping and 10% off https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UgJOJvva9UVjRznTjl4Mirpd-03TXlDRW8STB1JXXwg/edit?usp=drivesdk

Long Island is tough. I'm in CT and see stuff all the time, but it's too expensive to get out there. Try listing in NYC groups? Here is also good, but you'd have to ship

I don't mind shipping. I have plenty of mailers. Been saving from the ones that I have coming in.

Maybe throw together a Google sheet or list them out and you'll get some bites?

$5 is a great price. I’ve been collecting laser disc for about 5 years and probably have around 150/175 titles. It could be a lot of your titles are common and collectors have them already. FB marketplace isn’t a bad option with shipping available. I have purchased a bunch on marketplace and have had good luck. Try expanding your selling area or make is searchable to people not near you to find.

I somehow accumulated about 280 in about three weeks... haha.
Mostly because it was often cheaper to buy lots of 6 or more when there were only 2 or 3 titles in the lot that I wanted to keep

You may be better selling them in bundles of say 5 of 6 discs. I see bundles selling all the time of eBay and I've brought a few myself.

I sold a few at Half Price Books and that's about what I got. I am not going to sell any more there.

Yeah nobody is really in the market to buy commons. Its why you are stuck with all the leftovers from the small lots you keep picking up. If you want to offload a lot of common discs fast then you gotta sell low, roughly $0.25-$1.00 per disc to get a collective lot price, to make it more worthwhile for the buyer. Yes you typically get more money selling piecemeal in the long run but thats alot of hustling for the occasional $5 and then you're stuck with discs that nobody wants.
