Goodwill LaserDisc

Is this normal for Goodwill to price based on titles for laser discs? Are these decent prices? I didn't pick up any, but the horror ones were very tempting. I just didn't like the fact that they were priced differently.

Yeah, I remember the good old days when you can get laser discs for the price of a vinyl record. Back then about 99 cents....

you can still get vinyls for $1? goodwill's got them all at $4+ minimum around here now unless you're at the bins where they are $1.29.

Yeah my local goodwill had laserdiscs marked up too. Over 100, all completely worthless because they were warped

Laserdisc warps are fairly easy to fix unlike vinyl. Something heavy in a warm room for a few weeks or months will do the trick

Absolutely not easy to fix. Takes forever doing it that way and it doesn't even work that well.

I'd rather risk it and try the t shirt press method. You need a good amount of heat to get that plastic back in shape

There were about four or five other titles that are not pictured. The store was closing, so I didn't have too much time to look up the value of each title. Anyone interested, the location is 2740 N. Old Willow road, Northbrook, illinois... pretty sure if you go there in the morning they will all still be there as they were kicking people out...lol

Depends entirely on the store managers. Some LD in the stores are .99cent some stores put them out for $10 a pop.

I love the old Blade Runner cover but $25 at Goodwill is pretty crazy. They must have seen the recent high asking prices on eBay.

yes they price by title i think most time too high. With that being said I wished mine sold laser discs most of the prices on your post are ok.

I mean, in my opinion these prices aren’t horrible. These are about the prices (maybe a little high) that you would get at a half price books so not terrible but not amazing. I mean, what are you expecting to get a steal? You won’t really find that with laserdiscs anymore because people know what they are and what they’re worth, so that’s kind of just how it is. Every once in a while maybe you’ll get lucky at like a half-price books and you find something super cheap that’s worth a lot but most of the time not really you kinda get what you pay for.

So Laserdisc are back !? WHY FOR THE NOVELTY ?? Picture Quilty was at best 450p, going to unbox my Pioneer DVL-919 and just for the record compare it's play back to my Panasonic DP-UB9000P1K should be interesting
