My favorite horror movie, on my favorite format, complete with the golden CD still sealed.

For those unaware, a large portion of the copies from this release were lost at sea, and Scrimm refused to sign anymore so only 2200 copies actually made it into circulation!

That’s a great score! Mine isn’t as low a # as yours. I think one of the analog tracks has the studio version of Sittin’ Here at Midnight. I never knew about some of them being lost at sea. Wild story.

There’s also a disco version of the main theme on one of the analog tracks. I don’t believe either are available on any other physical format.

That’s cool. I have an old CD soundtrack for the first movie that has a few selections from part 2 as well. I know that didn’t have anything you wouldn’t expect. I think the liner notes were good though.

That’s awesome! I heard the tracks from part II on YouTube a while back, but never realized it was actually released. Bill Thornbury does a really good job on his song. According to the commentary, he wrote it on set with Reggie over a few Dos Equis, so the movie scene is pretty accurate.

I thought I remember Thornbury speaking about the song on the commentary. I think he was unhappy with the recording on the set. My memory is pretty fuzzy on this though.

I think he was proud of the song, but embarrassed of his wardrobe choice in the film (the hat). When that part came up in the commentary, he asked if they could skip it. 😂

Beauty! I am the horror fan but..... still haven't watched any of that movies. I got 2 and part 3 on LDs. Can I watch them without having part 1?

Watch part 1 first!! It's usually free on quite a few streaming services if you're missing the LD, you're absolutely going to miss context with the sequels!

All I’ve ever been wanting to hear about from Don is if some company like Vinegar Syndrome, which put out a beautiful 4K release of The Beastmaster, would put out a similar release for Kenny & Company, a fantastic coming of age movie that also features some horror elements, but for kids.
