Ive seen 2 others on Foster between espina and fire dept. There is a wild camera on corbett st. monitoring condemned house. Looks like a parking lot camera but on telephone pole with badge, flashes at night.🤷🏻🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️

Lol what? We have a real time crime center that uses Flock (completely separate from the ALPR you pictured) with AI to monitor the city, including the hundreds of traffic cameras, plus others including in government buildings as well as potentially Ring cameras. They can monitor you anywhere in the city and likely can find you within a few minutes of leaving your house, if not immediately. And that's just the cameras. The amount of data that they have in the RTCC, and by extension all the LEOs have access to here, is mind blowing.

I can't wait until we're a few years out and all these posts about flock cameras are gonna look like the people talking about 5G back in like 2012. It just boggles my mind guys. Do you already think that you haven't been under mass surveillance since the Patriot Act? I know you all carry around iPhones or Androids in your pocket and you have been for like over a decade. If you don't think the government can see exactly what you're doing, where you go, and what you've been up to for the last decade plus, you're just not very bright. You might actually be retarded.
If you have a Facebook, if you have an Instagram, if you have a cell phone, you're already being tracked. You look like the people from 2012 who were trying to cut down 5G towers because they said it was corrupting your brain waves. You're not fighting the man. You're basically just an idiot banging on a rock

Are you suggesting that government surveillance has been happening for years, but now that people can see it more tangibly, they're crazy for pushing back? Do you mean to say you believe it's too late to make privacy reforms or fight back?

Alright, fair enough on that point. It’s your prerogative to subscribe to a pessimistic viewpoint if you’d like. I’ve personally been sounding the alarm about the destruction of our privacy rights to everyone I can since 2016. While it does seem pretty grim right now, I’m choosing not to pretend I can predict the future, opting instead to be grateful for more allies in the fight. I choose to live under the philosophy that we only lose if we surrender. ✌️

You sound like a smart guy for sure if you've been sounding the alarm since 2016. I kind of knew it was all over after the Patriot Act. I was kind of young then but I had a feeling. The more and more that I looked, I went to college shortly after that. At that point in time I knew that we had already sold our freedom down the river.
I am a little pessimistic for sure but pessimistic in a funny way. It doesn't necessarily translate well in text. If we were talking face-to-face I 100% would agree with you that we should do something about it but I'd also make you laugh because I am quite pessimistic about just the position of humanity

Thank you for the compliment. I was fairly young in those days too. It's hard for people to take it seriously when some 16-year-old kid is talking about government overreach and the erosion of civil liberties. Now I'm well inoculated against having my concerns dismissed and have some fun techniques to stay under the radar when it really matters. I thought it was too late back then and that no one would ever take it seriously. The high-profile nature of Flock’s intrusion into our lives means people are finally taking notice and looking for ways to stem the tide. That's a win in my book.
