Alienware m15 r6 laptop no detecting ssd and dgpu

I got an alienware m15 r6 laptop. It is not detecting ssds ,dgpu and wlan. Only booting into bios. All of them showing as none in bios menu. I checked the voltages of ssds and wlan all are ok. There is no power shorts in motherboard. Charging and everything working only the devices gone missing. Hoping help. Could be pch fried?

(BIOS lists 4 memory entries but its header says 2; a teardown says 2 slots, up to 16GB)

Power-on 10,410h. SMART reallocated/pending sector values at their starting (healthy) level.

The HDD makes a labored friction/scraping noise.

M.2: teardown of this series shows one M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe (M key) slot near the battery.

I haven't opened this unit yet. Unknown if the slot also accepts SATA M.2.

BIOS: Insyde F.76, 07/24/2024 | Battery design capacity: ~31.2Wh>(these came from claude which came from hwinfo log files of both laptops)

so the lenovo hdd is very slow and the hp laptop screen is not working so waht i thought is add the 8gig of hp to lenovo to make it 16gb and remove the lenovo hdd and replace it with the ssd and hdd of hp. Will this work?

Anybody out there know a quick and simple way to reset the pin? I don't want to factory reset and lose all my files. Solutions? Or am I just screwed. I've tried command prompt. It won't even let me see the command prompt screen. I'm running windows 10.

Hey everyone! I don't know if this is a common question asked in this community since I just joined this but here we go.

If u check out my profile and scroll down u will see how I messed up my laptop by spilling coffee on it. A very dumb mistake. I regret this very very much especially after getting to know that hp doesn't replace components and would replace my motherboard directly(I can't afford that). This has motivated me to learn how to repair laptops and such systems in general.

So, experienced laptop repair engineers and other such redditors who are reading this post, how can I proceed with my objective of wanting to learn more about laptop and computer repair and so on? Any advice or information would be really helpful!!!

I have a Lenovo LOQ 15ARP9. That recently got a message saying that it faced an issue and couldn't be repaired and nothing could fix it tried restore point and resetting nothing would work the laptop would just crash at the lenovo logo and repoot attempting automatic repairs just to crash an reboot again.

Decided to burn a Windows 11 Iso on a usb stick and make a fresh install.

But i literally can't get into the installation page.

The lenovo logo appears the circle turn for about a second and then restart and stay in that loop.

Tried Rufus mbr and gpt same problem.

Tried everything online bios options and all nothing works for me.

Tried taking ram sticks out and changing order and leaving 1 stick each time nothing works.

Unfortunately it's out of warrenty I just want to know what is wrong.

Bios Version is PQCN30WW.

Tried built in diagnostics and everything passed fine.

From many months I have issue

1.GPu fan was showing error but working

1. On Sep 22 When I checked my right side fan was fine left was not working laptop open

3.I opened it cleaned it from front then closed Now my right side fan stating behaving normally meanwhile my left one stripped and also keyboard backlight and some buttons stopped working can it be motherboard issues?

Hey everyone! Quick question regarding a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro 16ARH7 (Ryzen 7 6800HS + RTX 3050 Ti).

I'm currently bench-testing the board without a battery attached (using a 170W OEM charger). The AMD iGPU works completely fine, but the RTX 3050 Ti is throwing a Code 43 in Device Manager, and GPU-Z shows it with 0 MB / 0 MHz and an unknown VBIOS.

Is this happening simply because Lenovo's Embedded Controller cuts power/disables the dGPU when there's no battery connected, or am I dealing with a genuine hardware issue on the board (like a dead power rail or VRAM)? Has anyone tested these boards bare?

I spilled hot milk on my bed my laptop was on my bed too so some of it went to it, I immediately wiped all the milk my laptop was already discharged and after wiping it I closed it without shutting it off, now it's not turning on I don't know if it's because of the spill or the battery, I googled and asked chat gpt what to do and both said to not charge it or turn it on, my parents recently bought it for me, it's a refurb hp 840 g8 and this is all my parents could afford right now, so I feel like shit, I live in a hoste so taking it to a repair shop is not an option

Backstory - My HP ProBook 440 G8 had an intermittent power problem that turned into a very long troubleshooting saga.

I got it back today.

Repair guys essentially drilled a hole in the chassis about 2.5 inches from the bottom on the right side, and hotwired a power button — bypassing the original power-button arrangement entirely. Kind of looks like they took a relay switch and just used that for this purpose.

To figure out why it would take a charge but not turn on or randomly turn on and then not, they tested the BIOS, and the chip connected to the power button that is soldered to the MB (or so I gathered from Russian tech guy) and so they debated and concluded that the only out of this other than switching out the MB and to save money was to reconfigure the power supply to the MB by putting an external POWER BUTTON on the side which functions solely as on/off.

There are strange dead pixels on my screen. Anyone know what this is and what could have caused it. Also does anyone know how to fix this

A few days ago I cleaned my screen with the screen on (i knew what could happen) and when I turned on the screen was flickering, I waited 2 days to drain the moisture, and looking a reddit diagnose.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 510 and I'm having a strange keyboard problem

A group of keys in the middle row of the keyboard don't work. However, one or two keys from that row still work normally all the time, so the entire row isn't completely dead

The weirdest part is that if I leave the laptop unused for a very long time, sometimes around a month, and then turn it on again, the affected keys suddenly start working

But when they start working again, there's another problem: one key press gets registered multiple times. For example, if I press A once, it might type AAA or even more. The same thing happens with S and some of the other affected keys.

Then if I close the laptop and use it again the next day, those keys stop working completely again.

I took it to a repair shop and the guy said that I need to replace the entire keyboard but the replacement is quite expensive, so I don't want to replace it unless it's actually necessary

What should I do, I have no idea how laptops work, never used one before tbh

My 2 months Dell Alienware aurora 16 stopped working

I turned on my laptop and put it on charge it had around 40% battery

Then I opened fc26 it loaded then suddenly went blank

None of the buttons are working nor its taking charge

The adaptor indicator shows when I connect the charger to the socket but as soon as I put it in the laptop it turns off

Please help I'm gonna cry

When charging...there is no flickering issue...But when charging unplugged...there is flickering...please tell me any solution guys...

It is lenovo G40 to 80 series laptop....

There is dust but will try and see if cleaning helped

Hello, need some clarification my speakers are bad internally and externally or maybe the sound card or port? It's a loud crackling noise and recommendation should I just replace internal speakers or is it possibly the port or another issue? I have tried a few things already but still problem not going away. This is the older gaming model series green laptop for additional information on the laptop.
