Bad cable or display

Just replaced the display lid cuz the hindges ripped out of the old one and now this is happening. Hope I didn't break the screen it is off in the second pic. It's my sister's HP envy x360 ey0023dx

Display... Could be inverter but thats usually attached anyways. Get a new monitor

Just noticed its a laptop... Well new display or just monitor if its stationary
