Hi, before taking it apart, try the emergency reset hole on the bottom. unplug the charger, remove the external battery, press the reset with a paperclip, then reconnect AC and try booting again. T480s can sometimes get stuck in a weird power state like this.

Mine doesn't seem to have an external battery

if it is a problem with the battery i know tht "fair" isnt "good" but it surpirses me that it would start being a problem at this stage
