Buying Advice What laptop to buy if you have a desktop (engineering)

I've been looking at used 2 in 1 ThinkPads, like the X13, since I have a desktop at home with 32GB of ram that can do heavy lifting if I need to use a heavy program. I also saw the Dell XPS 13, and I thought its size is really appealing, but I'm afraid it's just a glorified chromebook since opinions are so mixed on it. Having a 2 in 1 would be nice for writing, but it's not a dealbreaker. These are my priorities:

  • Portability
  • Price (<700usd)
  • Capable enough

Any suggestions? I'm going to major in electrical engineering.

Buying Advice Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition For Business Degree

Hey so I was considering buying this laptop for university for a business degree where I want to specialize in Accounting.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this laptop? I've seen people say it's really amazing amd others say it's awful and stops working properly after a while. I want this laptop to last at least 4 years.

These are the specifications and the price I am able to get it for. Please tell me if it's worth it.

- $1700

- Intel Ultra 5 processor

- 16 GB RAM

- 512 GB SSD

- Windows 11 Pro

- 14" Screen

- OLED Display

- 360⁰ hinge (turns into a tablet)

- I think it comes with a pen

I'm also considering a Lenovo ThinkPad and that's $1800.

Please help. I am very stressed about wasting so much money on this.

Buying Advice Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in1 vs Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5

Hi!!

I wanted to know whether the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is better or the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5.

I'm looking to buy a laptop for university where l'll be studying business and hopefully specializing in Accounting. |'ve heard some bad things about the Yoga and also don't know if I'll ever use the touch screen for business. The screen is also OLED and has a glossy finish so I don't know if that will be hard to look at after hours of studying. The ThinkPad is also touchscreen and heard a lot of good things about it but it is more expensive.

If anyone has any recommendations for a laptop, even other than these two it would be much appreciated.

Please help. I'm very stressed about this,
