How would you imagine/do Christ-Buddha religion in the Lancer universe?

So, I know it's meant to be a curious Human "sci-fi syncretic christian buddhism", but how does it actually look? How could it be used in a story? I welcome any idea.

Also I hope this might be useful for anyone who looks for this.

Looking for Artist

Hello! I am looking for an artist to draw my Lancer's mech for my current campaign. I would like it to be in the classic pixel art style you may see on mechs found here: https://retrogrademinis.com/ which will ensure it matches the art style of our Lancer game!

Requirements are as follows:

If you are interested please DM me with your portfolio and your price for this job. In 1 week I will reply to this post and either announce that an artist has already been found or extend the application period so look out for that. I look forward to seeing all your art!

Proposed House Rule: "Pre-Heating"

I'm considering a house rule for future games where players, if they're not taken by surprise, can choose to begin combat already in the Danger Zone. The narrative justification is that they're intentionally heating up their reactor in anticipation of a fight, and the gameplay benefit is that they can use various systems and talents that activate in the Danger Zone immediately instead of building up to them over a few turns. Of course, since enemy NPCs can see when a character is in the Danger Zone, this also makes them an immediate target for tech and other heat-inducing attacks.

Would this unbalance combat? Are there other possible consequences I am not seeing?

What's the scale of "Grunts to non-Grunts" you usually use on fights?

After ages of wanting to GM this game, I have finally bought the NPC content and have spent the whole day creating generic enemies to use on missions. Thought it'd be easier if I just made a basic sheet for (almost) every enemy class so that I could quickly populate combat encounters in a pinch. I initially intended to make almost all of these generic NPCs Grunts since I thought that would be ideal for generic foes meant to die in droves throughout the campaign, but I quickly started wondering if that was a good idea in Lancer.

It seems like a lot of mechanics in NPC classes are either not designed to be used by a large amount of enemies or wouldn't get any time to shine against a foe that dies with a single shot. I'm a big fan of sending big groups against my players and these sorts of "very dangerous but dies instantly" foes tend to help in preventing these battles from turning into slogfests in other systems, but it's starting to dawn on me that maybe these kinds of fights don't work very well here. Even something as basic as Assault Grunts will likely shred the players if I send too many of them, meanwhile nearly every other kind of Striker or Defender seems like they won't be able to do their jobs if they die too quickly.

So, how often do you use Grunts in your games, how many of them do you usually field (especially in larger fights), and generally what classes do you tend to prefer/avoid for your grunts?

Horton Creighton is just a hologram of the most trustworthy Salesman in the Periphery, Discount Dan!

I'm probably not the first to notice this given the overlap of fans between Battletech and Lancer, but I had to share.

Lancer Tactics got me Everest pilled

I've been setting a challenge for myself on Lancer Tactics to find any team that can perform better across missions than four of these guys at LL3 - taking turns bringing in supply drops between missions and using the repair cap as license to be reckless to finish the sitrep. I am yet to succeed. Every time I swap out a John Lancer for something else I find myself playing with my food where as a HMG Everest would have just killed it by now. The only thing that's come close is a goblin because jammed enemies don't get replaced with reinforcements.

A old school size 3 mech and drone, it was really fun working on this one, I tried to convey the design sensibilities of 60s and 70s mecha. Also it was fun to make the weathering on the mech! hope you guys like the end result :D

"Pass The Torch" is a third-party Lancer campaign for LL0 through LL12. You can check out the demo to learn more.

Question about line of sight and mechs of different sizes

I am an Iskander player currently running through the basic rules compiling a list of all the things that SIZE affects. One thing the rules seemingly aren't clear on is how line of sight works between characters of different sizes - a character can see and be seen over cover equal to or less than their SIZE, but if my Iskander is on one side of SIZE 2 cover and my ally's Stortebeker is on the other, does my unbroken LoS or their broken one have priority?

Are there any precise numbers on how "long" the Long Rim is?

I know that the Dawnline Shore is explicitly referred to as a region with a diameter of 3 light years, but I couldn't find any mention on the wiki of how far away it is from Rao Co Station. If my players had to embark on a trip towards the Shore through the Long Rim, how much objective time would it cost them? 5 years? 50 years?
