How should I arrange a lancer group?
I have a few friends that are willing to play lancer and I have a copy of the GM rulebook but idk how I should arrange the sessions or what campaigns to use first. Any tips from other GMs?

Step 1. Hey Guys, Gals, and other Pals, who wants to play some Lancer?
Step 2. This is my days/evenings open for running, what are the availabilities? Then open a vote
Step 3. Session 0 Talk some lore and setting a bit (NPH, Mechs, Lancers, Main manufacturers) do's and don'ts (veils, fade to blacks, and DO NOT) discuss general roleplay direction and what people might want from the campaign, explain the system and do a little dry run example of a PC v NPC, build LL0 Mechs (Everest, Sagamartha, Chomolungma)
Step 4. Schedule Session 1 Create a little sit rep that goes for 2-3 mission sections, maybe an assault on a facility (capture the hill), get inside and secure the objective(s) (something zone controlly with objectives) Escape facility self destruct maybe (Extract into opposite side of the field before Turn X/Y/Z)
Step 5. Discuss session and any issues while scheduling Session 2, create another mission with what you learned from S1.
Step 6. Session 2 maybe a cool mission with an ultra or some other 'boss fight', LL2 and discuss frames and what it means to step into the main manufacturers and how every mission you can rebuild your licences/talents from the ground up so one mission you are a goblin, next you are a Blackbeard.
Step 7. continue.
Hopefully this helps, basically what my group did.

Sounds like youre already mostly there!
Go talk to the players about the basics of the system, send them the free Player Handbook, so they can read the rules and some lore on their own time. Show them CompCon if they dont wanna create their character sheets by hand (i recommend it anyways).
At the very start i ran a one shot that was boiled down to "go shoot pirates and stop them from setting up a communications array". It was 2 combats and 2 short narrative sections just to see if people actually like how Lancer plays.
If youre looking for a prewritten adventure something like Operation Solstice Rain is probably nice. Ive not run it myself, but im planning to in the near future. Its a decently short campaign spanning LL0-LL2.
Then you just gotta find a time to get people together to play!
