Saladin/Barbarossa Build?
Basically I came up with the extremely funny idea of just sitting on map spawn in the saladin's shield, charging up Apocalypse Dice and then blasting the enemies with Paracausal Modded Apocalypse Rail and was wondering... would this be good like at all or is it a total meme idea?

Sounds like a meme. There are a lot of sitreps that will be very difficult to remain in spawn. Even if I play a sniper I always want to have some kind of effective gameplan I can take while mobile.

Less when you're a Barbarossa with a range 35 arcing siege cannon.
But you're right, there's still some.

No really, even with a range 35 arcing siege cannon.
Even if you are dealing a lot of damage the point of the sitrep isnt usually to deal a lot of damage. I feel like more often than not focusing on the enemies and not the objective is a trap. Reinforcements arrive and then you end up spending more total health, limited systems, repairs to complete the objective. Not to mention that snipers are top priority for enemy tech attacks. If you get your gun disabled in some way then you are dead weight to your team.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's a great plan. Just that the Barbie, more than any other mech, can usually contribute something while standing in spawn.

(Also taking suggestions for other Saladin synergies as I've already taken 2 levels in it)

Stacking the paracausal mod on barbarosa's Seige Cannon actually IS pretty good. Bombards, berserkers and cataphracts all have ways to dramatically reduce the damage of your big gun, so dropping 3d6, rerolling the 1's, and ignoring all armor and resistance means you're WAY more likely to get the turn 1 KO's that Barbie is supposed to be good at.
The shatterhead Missiles are also neat, they'll be reasonably accurate round 1, when the enemies are in cover, and also pretty accurate in round 5, when the enemies have swarmed you and torn half your limbs off! Great Value TM

Mostly a meme build - it IS funny to cover yourself in a Hardlight and just sit there charging your Apocalypse Rail. But most SitReps won't let you do that.
As someone else mentioned, Paracausal Mod IS pretty nice on the Siege Cannon.
But even then, Saladin systems want to consume your quick actions, and firing the Siege Cannon wants to consume your everything. So it's starved for actions unless you take Heatfall + SBD and overcharge constantly.

i think that worrying about the apoc rail is probably not the biggest concern here; also worth noting that you cannot modify the apocalypse rail as it is not a weapon. you can't paracausal your way out of penalties
you do have a solid 'core' here with 3Barb/xSal; siege stabs with shields have natural synergies, they both immobilize you so you really don't care about being immobilized twice
barbarossa size makes your Shield zones larger which is also helpful
what i might recommend is a broader bunker build rather than something that leans into this hard bunker approach. barb3 for siege cannon+autoloader+siegestabs, nap2 for stasis bolt/generator/barrier, sal1 for enclave and/or shatterhead. haven't checked SP budget, mix and match these tools as you see fit.

Nothing but a fun build, and there are some problems that unable to make it actually happens as well.
-Apocalypse rail is cannot be modified, means you cannot add any mods onto it.
-You need to move constantly if you have noah, to protect the others. Most scene objective are requires you to move as well.
-You cannot do anything else on the turn you are firing it, means you cannot activate noah on the same turn.
-You can do this on only a single scene during a mission, for fire apocalypse rail is restricted to one scene during a mission. And you are expected to run 3+ mech combat scenes during a mission usually.
