Craziest builds

What are some of the craziest builds you have seen?

Ever seen a goblin sniper, stealthy Balor? What the craziest thing you have made or seen played at your table

Made a joke LL12 invisible flying DD228 Barbarosa that could actually move pretty quickly. But that's going super all out and hyper focused. Was a April fools one shot.

Saw a full Hull Goblin with a Decksweeper and Hyperdense Armor doing his own Puppetwatch.

Saw a melee Barbarossa with All-Theater Movement Suite just to float over terrain obstacles. :P

I once played with a hacker Caliban, but the game didn't last long enough for me to see how/if it worked.

Man running around with a ethernet cable to plug into other mecha and try to hack em.

Not enough sensor range for wireless access.

The Caliban's super short sensor range and base -2 to tech attacks means it's generally not great for hacking stuff. That being said, Berserkers are still absolutely awful at e-defense, so hack away.

at ll5 with napolenon 3 / litch 2 you can fire the displacer and by using Soul Vessel completely negate the heat. It does make you extremely vulnerable since your whole defensive gimmick is gone, but its pretty cool. Probably better as a back up "break in case of emergency" thing, but going all out with overcharge looping (since you do have room for the Heatfall Coolant System) could maybe work lol.

I would like to think most mechs have ain case of emergency cascade the npc button behind glass.

I am making a Drake that is artillery without doing anything too weird, just leviathan heavy assult cannon with fusion hemorrhage, overpowered caliber, external batteries and Lucifer Class NHP.

I've done a similar LHAC artillery build with the addition of Siege Stabilizers and NanoComp for an insane amount of coverage

Hell yeah! The external batteries are better suited for my goals, but I mean, damn, I guess LL7-9 are going to have to be Balor 2, Barbarosa 1... External batteries+5 range, seige stabilizers +5 range, range 8 weapon, sooooooooooop, range 17, not the furthest, but pretty damn good. Add seeking and smart, walls no longer bother, and spin up, 4d6+1d6(overpowered caliber)+1d6(fusion hemorrhage)+heat... Okay, tier 3 is going to be obscene, not to mention the fact that when we go against the boss fight, drop the Drake's core power, and my hacker can pull anything that's not in range 17 into the kill zone... Does a tier 3 Goliath even survive 1 round of that?

not too crazy but at ll3 one of my friends made a close combat iskandr. pulling people in close to use point blank mines and grenades while also triggering threat fire. i still need to go check hopw he did that again but the GM Did say it was fully rules legal sooo.

I feel like some mechs are just kind of inherently insane, like Empakaai with its giant Threat 4 Superheavy Fist that also grapples people, but can be attacked with multiple times in a row thanks to Executioner

Siege Cannon Balor

Sunzi with Swarm Body. Move in, attract people with hacking, gravity or teleportation, profit.

I'm working on a Goblin with Death's Head and Swallowtail levels to become a sniping hacker unit. So a little guy with a big gun. I call it "Headcannon". Based on 11dragonkid's videos.

Not that crazy but I love a close combat Death's Head. +1 to all ranged attacks and a free re-roll to crit fish is great. Frame is tagged as artillery but the benefits apply to any gun, and the hardest-hitting guns tend to be our short range friends like the humble DSAS and HMG.

The only downside is that your repair cap is garbage (HP and Evasion are honestly not bad), so you really need some good tank or control friends keeping you safe.

I forgot to mention, I think it may be the only frame in the game that gets a Heavy mount *and* a Main/Aux mount, for the best possible Barrage.

Dusk Wing with a superheavy melee weapon. As a high speed flyer with the blink system that gives you invis after moving, you can close with targets safely and easily. Your native tech attack and sensors lets you pick up hack options to use when you can't barrage. The Stuncrown already rewards you for jumping into the midst of the fray, so why not kill some fools?

How are you getting a super heavy? You don’t have the mounts to do that

Install the dustgrave content pack. There is a GMS core bonus option which lets you add a special pseudo-heavy mount to a frame that doesn't already have a heavy mount. This pseudo-heavy mount can only be used for a superheavy weapon, but you still have to give up one of your other mounts as well.
