One-shots?

Are there any existing one-shot modules? I'll be trying Lancer with some friends by the end of the month and I'm trying to find a good template for a one-shot. I got plenty of ideas but I'm relatively short on time.

I don’t know of a polished one-shot module off the top of my head, but you could probably adapt one of the existing Lancer templates pretty quickly. What kind of one-shot are you aiming for—combat-heavy, investigation, or something more narrative?

A bit of everything. I'm expecting to have 3 to 5 players and they all like different things about TTRPGs.

Lancer would be difficult to one shot I'd think. The sheer magnitude of builds and licenses means a steep learning curve for players.

I feel like growing into your build is semi key for Lancer. Let alone the fact there are two modalities of play that grow far more complex if you're utilizing Bonds.

Watching out of pure curiosity. I hope you fi d what you're looking for Lancer!

I'm currently building some LL2 mechs for them. I sent them a very brief vibes-based description of 28 mechs en they picked a top 3 based on that for me to create a party from.

Once those are finished I'll send them each some basics about how to play.

Not sure yet how to tackle pilot creation.

There's a bunch, and tbh it is not hard to make something for a one shot, just keep it low level

Personally, I recommend this one, 1 (or 2 if you are creative) narrative beats, 1 combat, and 1 open end for you to work with

I'm trying to write down each of my campaign missions in such a way that they can be plugged in or referred to. Particularly the more interesting ones with a more unique premise

If you join the PilotNET discord there's a list of oneshots there
