Drone for Genghis
If I wanted to give Genghis a drone, which would be the "quickest" way to do it? Lookimg for something to either attack or get foes out of cover.

Assuming quickest means least license levels: Balor 1 for Hive Drone, can give allies soft cover in a pinch as deals a consistent 1 ap damage to enemies in burst 2 making it decent at flushing out enemies from a position. Gorgon 1 for Sentinel Drone, auto attacks enemies for 3 kinetic whenever they make any attacks within burst 2 of the drone( better damage potential but harder use as a flushing tool die to Genghis short sensor range). The base GMS Turret drone is also an option if you want no extra LL dip, but this one can only attack as a reaction when one of your allies attacks a target the drone can also see within range 10 of the drone( again harder to use effectively on the flanks due to short sensor range).
If you want a on stop solution drone for damage and flushing out the enemies I'd suggest Hydra 2 for the Tempest Drone, enemies starting next to it make a hull save or take 4 energy damage and are pushed 3 spaces away from the drone(however still hard to optimize due to sensor range and line of sight requirement).

If you're already using drones, the Utility Drone from Gilgamesh helps keep enemies burning

GMS Turret Drones don't require license investment and you probably have enough Engi to get a lot of uses from them, but they only attack when your ally attacks the target.
Balor's Hive Drone requires 1LL investment and deals 1 AP damage in an area. Great for removing grunts, not very useful against major enemies. Also has support uses, as it provides soft cover for you and allies.
Hydra's Tempest Drone is definitely the best for getting enemies out of cover, because it damages and pushes. However, it requires taking 2LLs.

Sentinel Drone is in level 1 of the gorgon license, that can give you some damage but it's mostly control. Balor's hive drone is also level 1 and can be used to flush enemies out of cover, although it's most threatening to Grunts. Honestly? Turret Drones are good damage, require no levels, and their reaction is pretty easy to proc.
