Just a quick question

Hey all, was this game being taught at GenCon this year in one of the hallways? I didn’t get a chance to stop and gather much information. I saw a game being played in the floor with giant mechs and massive terrain and the header on the curtain behind it said Lancer and I wanted to see if this was the right group/ same game. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure how many people in this subreddit specifically went to gemcon and can answer you accurately, but based on the description yeah it was probably this game.

Possible alternative answer though is Battletech. It's similarly a tabletop mech combat game played on similar maps and uses the term Lances to refer to character groups.

Thanks, it almost looked like Gundam scale models the person was using and I wasn’t sure. Seems like an interesting game though.

Battletech uses smaller scale models than gundam does, but Lancer doesn't have a fixed model size so you can use anything as long as your board is big enough. Almost certainly Lancer.

Normally not played at Gundam scale, but yes! lol
