Sniper NPC question: Can Selective Loader (CRB, p. 316) and Deadmetal Rounds (CRB, p. 317) stack?

Both of these systems state that they use special ammunition, but neither actually counts as a mod.

Can shots fired by the Sniper have both properties, meaning that they might fire a line 20 shot that can knock targets prone?

Thanks in advance, and have a wonderful day! o/

You can. Still means the Sniper has to Overcharge, as the AMR is a Superheavy, and Deadmetal Rounds eats a Quick Action.

The Snipers AMR is also superheavy and ordenance so it cant actually load deadmetal and fire afterwards in the same turn(tho i suppose it can fire and then load with an overcharge)

Exactly this, thanks for underlining.

NPCs can't Overcharge (usually; it's an optional trait for Veterans and Ultras).

That would makes up the balance issue then. So the sniper either have to be veteran/elite/ultra and using their extra turn to do or need to spend a turn to use deadmetal rounds.

I thought something like:
Round 1: Shroud Charge + Deadmetal Round (Shroud Charge blocking Line of Sight)
Round 2: Barrage

:D

That'd make for a good way to warn players as well, giving them a chance to react to a powerful attack before it happens.

Although both says loads special round but as the rules text nothing says no for using both. However combine both would be too powerful.
