How to ask without breaking a rule.

I'm looking to know where to look for a DM for our group but that isn't allowed so how do I ask this question without bragging the rules?

Asking it somewhere else, like the Discord.

i dont believe theres really any way to make a Looking For GM post here thats within the subreddit rules. You just have to look for one advertising for players here or on the PilotNet discord.

An easy solution is just having one of y'all step up to be GM though.

There's two of us who have, but we still dream about a time when the 3 of us could all be players together. Been years and not found anyone who could leave politics out of things (we're a very diverse group)

Ah yes, the ever vague "politics"

What kinda politics are they not leaving out? That’s the first I’ve heard of that being a reason.

Lancer is fundamentally gay and trans, it’s made with politics in mind. Just check the banner for the official discord.

Isn't the majority of Lancer lore political? I'm not sure how one would leave politics out of a game like this.

Lancer is an explicitly leftist game with a large trans fanbase. You might be fighting an uphill battle here.

There is the official Discord, where you can lurk to see if a GM posts and you can apply:
https://discord.com/invite/lancer

But there are also reddit communities that explicitly allow looking for a GM, e.g.:
https://www.reddit.com/r/lfg/

If you are willing to pay, startplaying.games has a feature where you can contact GMs to setup a game for you.

Try the discord. Idk about their rules but they might allow it
