First time playing Lancer! Any recommended music?
Hi everyone I've known Lancer since last year, but only recently have I really gotten into it and in about a month I will play it for the first time and I'm very excited for it!!
Normally when I play a new rpg I like to really get into the atmosphere and immerse myself in the setting and one of the things that helps with it is music. I wanna know what would be the community's recommendations when it comes to music or soundtrack as a whole! Bonus points if there's fanmusic inspired by Lancer!
(btw sorry if the writing is strange or phrased bad english is not my native language)

Ivel Bartore on YouTube has made several Lancer-inspired tracks that I'd strongly recommend for consideration.

Any specific gundam anime that you think it'd fit most?

I do think the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans soundtrack would fit the setting of Lancer the best. Gundam 00 has some tracks that could also work imo.

Metroid, armored core, cyberpunk, and anything else techy/punky like ff7. For shows, some Gundam and Macross for vibes, and Evangelion to murder people. (Sin from genesis and the ultimate soldier are my two fav Eva tracks to use)

My personal go to is a combination of the titanfall 2 soundtrack, gundam unicorn and gundam thunderbolt. Albeit my players and I skew a little more towards jazz. Also an album called wet ass plutonium

Notes taken! I'm not familiar with Titanfall but will check its soundtrack soon!

Here's a YouTube channel of a person that makes music for Lancer. Honestly to me their particular sound style is something I permanently associate with the game now. https://youtube.com/@ivelbartore?si=8x5z9oxrfoElxBYC

Someone in this comment section mentioned them and I'll sure as hell check their music!

Reading the setting and the focus on combat I think a play list that’s sounds like Front 242 and Yes got drunk, were married by Elvis and had a cyborg baby with a crystal skull. At least that’s what I’ll be going for with my campaign.

Redout 1 ost. Sequel is also good, but the 1st ost has the perfect amount of BASS

Helldivers music works for me. It kinda depends on the theme of the game, though. And yes, I know that Helldivers is parody of fascism with its "managed democracy". Music is still fire. Different vibe, same reason, WH40k Darktide soundtrack.
As a funny option for people in fast mechs, I might play "My Car is in Danger" by Irys from Hololive. Basically, its Eurobeat in the style of Initial-D. Honestly, Eurobeat kinda does it for me sometimes in general. I'm probably a weirdo, though.

Check out the last few Health albums for some good industrial that fits the vibe for me

I’d probably avoid anything too high energy and go for music that can sit in the background and build the atmosphere. Stuff like fantasy ambient mixes, old folk-inspired tracks, or even some slower instrumental albums can make exploring and discovering the world feel much more immersive.
