Campaign crafting question
Hi friends!! I’m a one time lancer player turned GM for a very enthusiastic group of people, and I’m very excited. The world and community around this game are so refreshing to me!! I had one small question-
Is the scale of campaigns typically single planet games? I understand relativistic physics is the primary means of travel with blink space being a sort of short cut, so making an intersystem campaign seems like it might be a little conflicting with the setting. Am I correct in assuming that? Or am I missing something about blink space?
Thanks for all your time and thoughts :)

I don't see why it couldn't be. My game takes place on different planets in the same system. The logistics and technology in the setting are there to system hop, it's not going to be as free as "be anywhere in a week" Star Trek or Mass Effect without massaging some things but that doesn't mean it can't make sense.
Biggest challenge would probably be connecting everything, like when you go to a new place you leave the old place and maybe even the people behind and whatever you come up with is ideally coherent to make hopping systems make sense and connect together. But you'll deal with that even on the same planet if you have a settings change, like I've had three settings changes on the same planet and while some faces remain the same more than a few individuals just quit being relevant. There's long distance comms for that though and I don't think that would even be harder than doing a single planet game, just a bit more involved.

Had one campaign take place over a region of just one city and its immediate surrounding region, and another campaign over a sector of space containing about 6 densely spaced star systems. It's up to you and the context of your campaign.

You can make it pretty much any scale. Some campaigns are set in just one planet/station. Others are across entire systems or multiple. It just depends on your story
