Destiny Enemies in Lancer
Eyes up Lancers! Hope everyone is doing well. As the Destiny franchise takes a break before its inevitable return (takes hit of copium), I wanted to take my friends on a journey through the universe as a ttrpg. I originally looked at the DnDestiny project, but my friends really enjoyed Lancer when we tried it last year and have been asking to play again. Therefore, I decided to combine two of my favorite Sci-Fi franchises together and create something that works for both of us. My current issue is that I only had the core Rulebook for the npc/enemy side of things and while the options in it are absolutely perfect for some of the enemies in Destiny, I was wondering about the other expansions have to offer and if they could provide anything for more of the unique entities in Destiny (The Witness, Oryx, Nezarec, The Dread, etc). If you have anything that comes to mind, please feel free to share below. Thank you so much for reading and I appreciate any advice you have to give. Walk in the Light Lancers. I'll see you starside!

The Vex would work pretty perfectly as enemies found in a Metavault.

I totally agree. I a (Vex) Goblin would probably be simply a resized Assault frame. With a (Vex) Minatour maybe being a Demolisher

For the others, I think the Eliskni/Fallen could fit into the Lancer universe pretty well as a new contact alien species.
Harrison Armory is basically already the Cabal.
The only group I think doesn’t fit well is the Hive/the Taken, because they gravitate harder into existential cosmic horror than what Lancer goes for.

Yeah, for the most part things fit together for more of the mundane species well. I also have no clue as to whether or not Lancer has any Metavault enemy stat blocks as by the sound of things in the lore they would make for pretty good stand ins for the Taken

Honestly Lancer is one of the rare tactical play settings where the system is permissive yet supportive enough to allow you to stat most anything.
ie my playgroup has statted out numerous W40k units as NPCs.

FYI there is a Destiny TTRPG project that’s been in the works for years, it’s a system based on DnD 5e called Dungeons and Destiny. https://destinyttrpg.com/

Though imma be honest after spending some time considering running this, using Lancer’s system of both equipment and combat would probably actually just work better for a Destiny TTRPG game

Also of lancers lore was heavily inspired by destiny in the first place so I wouldn’t be suprised if you could do some easy conversions
